Players I'm high on:

Wiggins, Parker, Embiid

Down: Gordon, Harrison twins, Slo-Mo Anderson

Embiid is going to be nice in the pros, he can run chew gum and has a soft touch, the rest will come with repetition.

I don't think anybody high on the Harrison twins anymore. I get what you're saying with embiid though

Gordon is a better defender then I thought going into this season. He moves his feet well enough to guard the 3 and has potential to be a solid post defender. He even put the clamps on Jabari for stretches when they played duke. We all know he has elite athleticism but he has no identity offensively. Dude is the definition of raw talent. Hope he stays another year.

I haven't seen many give love to Doug McDermott on here. I don't think he will be a star or anything in the NBA but the guy is gonna be a solid to good role player in the league for sure.

You always need shooters and the guy has proven to be a great all around shooter. If it's coming off of screens, spotting up and free throw shooting. Not to mention his shooting numbers are so great with him always being the #1 option almost every year he has been in school.

I honestly think if he gets drafted by the right team he could become a very good NBA player

Kyle Korver?

Shit, maybe even better than Kover because he is a bigger guy (not height) size wise. He can even post up a little bit, which is pretty interesting. Korver wasn't as good a scorer as Doug is in school either.

But if he turns out to just be like Kover then that is still a solid NBA rotation player for many years, which a good amount of the hyped freshman guys will not even be.

I think Doug can potentially be a Peja type of player. Doug moves a little better then Peja did back in the day. He's going to be an elite role player in the league.. maybe he makes a all star game or 2 who knows. I like the Korver comparison but i think that's his floor.

Yeah, Doug is gonna have problems defending at the NBA level for sure due to his lack of lateral quickness to guard 3's and his lack of height and strength to guard 4's.

I just think he might turn out to be a better offensive player than Korver over-all and saying he will be like Korver is a tad bit lazy of a comparison.

C/s the downs. This is actually why i am in favor ofthe mandatory 1 yr, b/c it weeds out the hype. The harrison twins r ass.

Aaron gordon has darius miles written all over him. A guy with physical tools but just not a defined skill set.

I saw Andersons stats n was intiegued, but i saw him play once n only once and thats all i need to see. Slowest player i've seen in a min.

If he's very very lucky he's Boris Diaw. But imo its so bad he'll b out the league in 3 yrs

Fam i think you're overhyping a lot of these guys. Peja was a multi all star and a few breaks away from a nba champ. For a span the best shooter in the league.

McDermott is a clone of Wally Szerbiak. If he's lucky he'll have that career. Wally made an all star once i believe. Wally was an anamoly tho. More likely imo mcdermott is headed to the fate of the glut of white, slow players who dont pan out.

It's his ceiling. Not everyone reaches their ceiling but the way he's playing this year makes it at least a possibility. Dude is balling. A Peja comp isn't a reach for a player of his caliber.

I actually agree a lot with your assessment for once. LMAO.

Peja was almost 6'10" with long arms and Doug is way closer to Wally's height. Szczerbiak I think was a better athlete than Doug McDermott also. Wally was a really good NCAA player and a solid NBA player who could do more than just shoot jumpers. Like you stated he went to 1 All-Star game and had a really solid career that was cut short due to injuries.

Korver is more of a super specialist while Wally and Doug seem to have been and will be more well rounded offensively.

Really good comparison!

So you think he's gonna be able to post/drive against NBA competition? Okay...

Off the dribble drive stuff I think he will never be good at in the NBA because his ball-handing is average at best and his 1st step is slow.

I never said that McDermott would be able to post up in the NBA but he can do it in the NCAA pretty well and Korver was always just a great shooter, even in the NCAA. I do think if McDermott kept working on the post up part of his game and had a coach who thought they could use that in their offense he might flourish there.

I mean you got guys like Andre Miller who can post up some front court players (who are taller and bigger) because they have no idea how to effectively guard in the post.

I just think McDermott could be a player that is totally different than Korver with his best case scenario. I also feel that using Korver as an example is a pretty lazy analysis but if he turns out to be a Korver type of player that is still really good.
