They just had the same debate on PTI about Embid staying and getting better vs him leaving and it not mattering. Kornhieser was pro Embid leaving and Wilbon was for him staying a few years

I think Marcus Smarts situation is gonna change Embid and Parker's mind. I think Parker is more likely to declare because the Jazz are in prime position to draft him and that would be perfect for both sides.

But we will hit March and a few of these guys will shine. And then we will get into workouts and teams will start talking themselves into players. But is this draft loaded with transcendent talent? Maybe, but it's no longer the sure thing we thought it would be in

Yes. As are a lot of teams. Parker is a more polished offensive player, but Wiggins length, athletic ability and upside set him apart. NBA guys aren't really paying attention to the box scores. They are looking for the types of attributes that could make a player dominant at the next level. Wiggins has many. Even his biggest weakness (that he can be passive at times) has started to dissipate. He's been much more aggressive trying to create his own shot off the dribble. He's got to be a better finisher at the rim and continue to improve his three point shooting, but his upside is huge. Parker will also be a great NBA player and is better right now. But in 5 years, most teams are still betting on Wiggins. But remember we still have a few more months before the draft.
What have you seen from PJ Hairston in the d-league? Has his stock improved?

If Giannis was playing college ball right now I think he would be a top 5 pick. Kid is a beast and his ceiling is unlimited. He plays for the Bucks so he's under the radar if he played for a large market team different story. Still a young cub in the league but he has many things he needs to improve. His height will be problem for defenders if he can develop a consistent j.

I would take him 4th behind Wiggins/Parker/Embid. Bucks have some solid talent. I hope they ever get out of Milwaukee. Seattle makes the most sense

I'm glad Giannis is actually gettin' consistent minutes... Larry Drew is notorious for stuntin' the development of rookies by not playin' them. A trait he got from Mike Woodson.

One thing I notice is that he takes too many difficult shots at this stage of his career. At this point he's good enough to get high percentage shots
