According to multiple reports, Boise State has decided to hire former quarterback and assistant coach Bryan Harsin, who just completed his first head coaching season at Arkansas State.

Damn, Kutty. Boise hit you with the...

nah-man.gif

And in june he'll "fled" again to his $9.2 million dollar home 25 minutes up 71 north from Cleveland.....like he does every off season.....Dumb#ss

It's alright bruh, it's not your fault.

He was selfish and greedy. It's not your fault...

It's not your fault. It's okay to cry about it. Or... just hate on a team that has no affiliation to your or your team's. However you wanna do it.

It's not your fault. Say it with me...

cool. you left off talking about Blaylock and Clabo.... Blaylock is a free agent after the season.and Clabo was released before the season. that leaves Baker as the only lineman of quality. that goes back to my point which is Demetrov ignored the line. Same goes for the d line except they failed more with picks on that side.

Btw, I'm a Falcons fan. I am not a fan of Demetrov though. I don't think the five years of winning is indicative of a job well done. (I can't remember who introduced that point.)

If you don't judge a front office with winning and losing, what do you judge them by? Health?

Dimitroff can't cure or prevent injuries. And you're dead wrong about him "ignoring" the o-line. His 2nd pick ever as GM was a O-lineman. And he's spent 2 other high draft picks since then.

Not to mention he basically gave Clabo a chance to stay on the squad which eventually led him to a pro bowl and a nice fat contract. He fell off a bit last year, and due to his large cap number, he was expendable. He went to Miami and struggled even more.

It's easy to nitpick flaws when the losses start piling up. But this idea that Dimitroff (who is one of the most respected young GM's in sports -- GM of the Year twice in 5 years) is fucking up based off one bad, injury riddled season is just silly.

Has he been perfect - nope. Neither has the other 31 GM's. The only thing he did wrong this year was sit on the 4-6 million in cap space that we have instead of bringing in depth on the D-line and O-line.

(However, that money will carry over into this offseason and we'll have one of the highest amount of cap space in the league.)

greenwood coming in throwing haymakers!

I think five winning seasons is okay if don't look at the wins. when you play 4 gimme games ( Tampa and Carolina were down at the time) , that makes it less impressive, imo. Add to that, you get destroyed in the playoffs (read: against a team equal to you in talent), those seasons are even less impressive. It's the same argument as the braves in the 90s. Would you trade five winning seasons for one super bowl and four mediocre seasons? I would. I feel like staying pat is a maneuver to stay profitable rather than risk winning or possibly failing on a bold move. Having said all that, I prefer the winning seasons to what we're used to before the Mike Smith era.

I feel like Georgia sports fans think accepting average results is being loyal. Why not nitpick (as you like to say)? I think it's fair to call out TD for his decisions. I'm not delusional, I know picks miss. His accolades mean about as much to me as Decoud's pro bowl appearance. As far as I'm concerned, Baltimore's gm should get that every other year.

Who do you think TD hit on during his time here? I think I answered your questions. Let me know if I missed something

Another habit of "Georgia sports fans" is being obsessed with what other teams are doing. Sure sign of inferiority complex. Executive of the Year is the MVP of GM's and owners. That's no different from Peyton Manning winning MVP.

You can call out decisions by coaches and executives all day (and if you read through this whole thread you'll find all the regular Falcon fan posters questioning and criticizing players, coaches, and exec moves.)

But it's a big difference between questioning a few decisions and acting like the sky is falling and it's "all fucked up" based on one year out of 6.

Ozzie Newsome is the Ravens GM. He was also a Browns front office exec from 1991 to 1995 -- check the Browns record in that span and compare it what the Falcons have done in the same 4-5 year span.

He didn't officially become the Ravens GM until 2002. Didn't win a super bowl as the GM until last year. So you're talking an 11 year climb that included not 1, not 2, but 3 losing seasons in between.

If Blaylock is locked in until 17, that's good. Im going off memory when I say I think he's free after the season. Either way, I don't see him as a problem. Baker not so much. He had to be resigned but I see him as just okay. He only really did well in his contract year. THAT is nitpicky though.

Mike Johnson was supposed to come in, I remember that. That's very presumptuous though to let Clabo go before seeing how dude plays. Why not waive him during the season or cut him and resign him to a cheaper deal before the season?

Real talk, I believe you should draft a lineman every year no matter what. I guess my team would just be a bunch of big mfs. 3 in 5 isn't acceptable.

Did you think the Julio Jones trade was a good move? That question is for you too greenwood. Call me crazy or whatever but I think that move screwed us. In part, that's why we had no room to miss. Then again, I also wanted Glen Dorsey and Chad Henne in the second round the year Matt Ryan was drafted.

Julio is one of the top 10 talents in the league, bruh. And I'm sure the people who even try to fix their mouth to say we shouldn't have done it would be saying "falcons need an explosive receiver" every time we lose if we didn't.

Nikkas kill me acting like a player that's injured is still on the field "in spirit." If he ain't out there, he ain't out there.

And before the injury his numbers were among the best this year.
