AP couldn't get yards behind this line so I can't completely shit on Jax
TD tried to get younger this season and it's backfiring
I said that they half assed because most of them are bust and poorly evaluated before being drafted. Besides Blalock none of them ever played well for more than 1 season.
I never shitted Jackson. I'm saying the same thing that you are about the piss poor run-blocking. Put a 7th round rookie RB back there and you'll get the same results if you're going to put that sorry ass O-line on the field. Don't pay a FA nothing at all. Give that 2 mill a veteran O-lineman or a proven situational pass-rusher.
TD didn't just try to get younger. That nigga went Pedo with this roster. In other words, he went too young too fast. They aint ready.....there's no player development involved at all besides Konz. He wouldn't even have any game time experience if Reynolds didn't get hurt last season. Mike Johnson was going to be our starting RT because he played TE on goal line sets and during the Giants' game.
The trading deadline is at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and a persistent rumor is that the Falcons might trade him back to Kansas City, which improved to 8-0 on Sunday.
“It’s up to them,” Gonzalez said. “If that’s what they want to do and that’s in the best interest of the team, then that’s up to them. It isn’t going to come from me. I’m not the one asking for a trade. I love Atlanta. I love playing with these guys.”
Gonzalez appeared sincere and was already talking about facing the Carolina Panthers next Sunday.
“We have Roddy (White) coming back next week so I’m a little bit more optimistic,” Gonzalez said. “I’m tired of getting double-teamed. I’m not going to lie.”
FLOWERY BRANCH – Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez met with the media today and said he’s glad the trading deadline has passed.
“I’m happy to be here,” Gonzalez said on Thursday.
He felt the entire trade situation was overblown.
“I never asked for a trade contrary to what (some) people have written and what people have said," Gonzalez said. "I never asked for a trade. All I said was that I’d be willing to listen if they’d got an offer. Whatever they wanted to do. I’m here. I looking forward to the rest of the season."
