@RapSheet: More not-so-great news for the #Falcons? RB Steven Jackson (thigh) may miss 2-4 weeks, source says. Officially viewed as week-to-week though

So thats:

Roddy White (Hurt, probably shouldnt be playing to give that ankle time to heal)

Brady Ewing

Steven Jackson

Sean Weatherspoon

Asante Samuel

Reminds me of Ryans 2nd/3rd year when we had all those injuries and missed the playoffs.

Falcons almost gotta make some roster moves now.

they gotta make some moves!!! this "next man up" mentality is cool when you lose 1 or 2 role players, but you just lost 3 starters and 3 more for an undetermined time..... On the flip side, it could be a positive if we just held on with a 9-7 or 10-6 record and get healthy at the end of the year and go on a run!!

Somehow I see us playing better regardless. Let's face it, when was the last time we won a game based on defense anyway?

I think we looked kinda complacent in these first 2 games (even the Aint's) game. Like nikkas waiting around for the NFC championship game.

Now they know we gon' have to step up and earn it.

Good thing I got Matt Ryan on 2 Fantasy teams....Championship...if he can stay healthy!!! Based on the law of averages, Ryan has a pretty good chance of staying healthy this year. No way a team can have that many injuries in one season!!

Yea I guess it is what it is......

Only good thing coming out of all this news is that they are forced to find out what they have with some of these young players on defense. Gonna be time to move on from some of these niggaz this off season and invest more into that defense.

Would be hilarious if we brought Turner Burner back. lol.

I wanna see what Josh Vaughn can do. I assume we kept 19 running backs for a reason.

Turner could probably come back as a right tackle lol. Snelling should be the feature back with quizz and Vaughn spelling him until Jax is ready

I got the feeling Vaughn is the best active back on the roster right now. I wanna see him get at least 3 or 4 carries sunday just to make sure.

Falcons signed LB's Jamar Chaney and Omar Gaither. LB's with some experience at least. We have a lot of undrafted players on our defense that are backups. We may have got lucky with Bartu but if Dent or Nich goes down I dont wanna see Warrilow in the game.

I've never heard of those niggaz. Are they worth a dam? I really wish Spoon didn't get hurt. I don't want to see Nic on the field in passing situations. Spoon and High Top Jop on passing downs and Dent on 1st and 2nd down makes D-Block legit.

Their good for depth but I don't expect either one of em to play.

This just gets Dent off ST basically

I knew it!

Falcons promoted FB Patrick DiMarco from the practice squad.

He'll replace Bradie Ewing as the Falcons' lead blocker after a shoulder injury sent Ewing to I.R. on Monday. A 2011 undrafted free agent, DiMarco appeared in five games for the Chiefs last season, grading out positively in Pro Football Focus' ratings in 124 snaps as a road paver.

Best news of the day, even tho it was inevitable.

Like I said before, everything I've heard about Ewing is just that -- I "heard" it, but haven't seen it. Dimarco is the best blocking FB we've had since Mughelli.

I hope Snells gets the rock more sunday. I think Rodgers gonna get the bulk of the carries but Snells should be the guy.

I look at this way instead of looking at what you lost look at it as what you still got. You got Matty Ice, Julio, Tony G, Osi, Willy Mo, Decoud, HD, Snelling, etc. That's still good enough to make it to the bye.

If they can do that then you get Jax back, Roddy probably being more than a Decoy, the rust fully knocked off Tony and the young niggas on defense with more confidence.

So basically it's nowhere near panic time

And also look at everybody else. We actually were one of the healthiest teams in the preseason. Every team on our schedule has been hit hard with injuries -- theirs just happened in the preseason.
