Here's the other option

Get that aluminum foil shit the fuck out'a here. lol. I could build that with some Home Depot aluminum, 4 hammers and six messicans.

I think Darius Johnson might have a decent shot at making the squad.

I think him and Seth Doege are the only UDFA's with a valid shot. I wouldn't be surprised if Doege beat out Renfree.

His hands are obviously better than Harry Douglas'.

repost, I know.

That read-option ish is overrated, IMO. It's the new "wildcat". These QBs are not "read option" QBs, they're just athletic QBs.

What killed us against san francisco wasn't a read option, it was letting TE's running around the field willie nillie with no coverage.

We made the same mistake against Seattle and Wilson is not really a read-option guy.

Well until I see multiple "read option" QBs WINNIING the super bowl, I ain't worried about it. Nolan is a master at stopping the kind of QBs that do win super bowls.

If we were really trying to go at that read option, we would've drafted at least one LB. That's how you stop any option.

Stopping the read-option is the same as stopping everything else it comes down to responsibilities.

When somebody can't handle their responsibilities (see above) everything goes wrong. Every big play that happened in the playoffs happened because somebody fucked up whether it's Nicholas not being able to cover, Willymo and Decoud doing to much before the snap or DE/LBs getting out their gaps

Exactly. A simple handoff run between the tackles can go 80 yards if the Dlinemen stunt wrong and the LBs don't hit their gap responsibilities.

Get ya gap. Period.

And read option ain't even new really. Mobile QBs have always been a matchup problem.

People forget that last year was Kaepernicks first year on film (and wasn't even a full year). Same for Russell.

When NFL coordinators get hold to a full year of film on gimmicks... The jig is up.

If either one of them balls out next year, it will be because they're good QBs, not because of a gimmick offense.

Warrick Dunn was amazing, no fumbles stayed healthy. FSU small back could run between the tackles.

But once the league get a year of film on a offense that's it. The titans and the wildcat learned that. No gimmick style will ever be successful, word to Fran Tarkenton.

Our camp "sparring partner" this year will be the Bengals.

Interesting since this is probably the year that the Julio vs AJ comparisons will heat up.

That debate is like picking kids to me. Even if I had a favorite I wouldn't say it out loud lol

I think both teams got the perfect receiver for what they do and what they have.

I'm not sure what Julio would look like in that offense with that QB. And I'm not sure if Green would as effective as Julio in our offense. They could both put up numbers in any offense, but I think both teams got it right.

TRU CHAAAAAINZ!

lol.

Niggas thought I went in when "brent" made a play. I got nicknames for days for this nikka.

I got a good feeling about Maponga. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if he has the best rookie season out of all of our picks. Dude was a problem last year in the Big XII.
