A construction worker is recovering after he was trapped under a collapsed retention wall at the home of an Atlanta Falcons player.

It happened about noon Tuesday at a Buford home on Camp Branch Drive. According to a records search conducted by Channel 2's Kerry Kavanaugh, the home belongs to Quintorres Julio Jones, wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons. Records indicate he purchased the home in April.

Rescuers say the retention wall collapsed, pinning a yard worker in a ditch. They say dirt and heavy concrete covered the lower half of the man's body.

Tight end Levine Toilolo, a fourth-round draft pick, signed a four-year contract with the Falcons on Tuesday.

Can't wait to see two-TE sets with Gonzo and Shawty Lo.

I seriously doubt Gonzo puts up the same numbers as last year (if he does, then that would make him a top 5 NFL player all time, IMO.)

So I expect Lo to get about 20-30 catches for about 3-400 yards. But as many as 5-10 ( TD's. That's red zone money all day with that height. And that's how Stanford used him too.

I'm not sure if he'll ever be a pro-bowl caliber TE, but he will create some mean match-up problems.

I mean, seriously, put yourself in a defensive coordinators shoes.

U = Lo

Y = GOATzalez

X = Julio

Z = Roddy

T = Jax

And don't forget that Koetter LOVES to throw to the running back and now we have one of the best and most dangerous receiving RB's in the league.

So even if you cover both TE's and both receivers, you're leaving one stiff-hipped Linebacker to deal with Steven Jackson in the open field as the "check down".

Shit ain't fair.

Speaking of Jax. From the Atlanta Junk Constipation

FLOWERY BRANCH —

Steven Jackson’s offseason of transition has been buzzing along at a frenetic pace.

After spending the past nine seasons toiling on mostly bad St. Louis Rams teams, the Falcons’ new running back has a new bounce in his step these days and has already made an instant impact during the Falcons’ offseason workout program.

He will take the field with the team when it starts organized team activities next Tuesday.

“I look forward to seeing both Steven (Jackson) and (free agent addition defensive end) Osi (Umenyiora) get on the field,” Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said. “They have done a great job so far with their leadership and that’s one of the reasons that we wanted them on board. They are just top-notched leaders in their own right.”

Jackson has been shuttling between Atlanta and St. Louis, transplanting both his football and civic roots here.

“Things have not quite settled down,” Jackson said recently. “That probably won’t happen until after minicamp. It’s still a new team. I have to learn a new offense, new coaches, new people and how things work within a new organization. But so far, so good.”

The decision to leave St. Louis was difficult for Jackson, who voided the final year of his contract with the Rams in order to become a free agent.

The Falcons have big plans for Jackson, who signed a three-year, $12 million deal ($4 million guaranteed). He received a $3.5 million signing bonus and has base salaries are $1.75 million (2013), $3 million (2014) and $3.75 million (2015).

He’s expected to assume the rushing chores of Michael Turner, who was released, and blend in his pass-catching talents into the team’s potent offense. A did Turner, he’ll split the position with Jacquizz Rodgers.

Last season, Turner handled 66.4 percent of the carries by Falcons running backs (222 of 334 carries). Rodgers had 28.4 percent (94 carries) and Jason Snelling had 5.2 percent (18 carries).

Jackson had 70.4 percent of the Rams carries (257 of 365) by a running back in 2012. If the Falcons use a similar 70-30 split of the carries, Jackson will be pleased.

That would be fine with me,” Jackson said. “One thing that really makes me excited about the new chapter in my career is that I don’t have to shoulder such a heavy load anymore. I will still take great pride in being a three-down running back and I will not give up that trademark of mine that I’ve continued to hold onto for so long.”

Falcons coach Mike Smith and Dimitroff are quick to point out that Jackson is also a capable receiver. Last season, he caught 38 of 53 targeted passes (71 percent).

Turner caught only 19 of 30 targets (63 percent). Rodgers caught 53 of 59 (89.8 percent). When Turner was in the game, defenses did not have to concentrate on his pass-catching ability.

“I’m from an era of running backs that has pretty much died off,” Jackson said. “With that being said, a 70-30 split is fine with me. The only thing that I ask for, and will continue to ask for throughout the season, is that I need to get quality carries and touches because that is going to make the offense better.”

Also, Jackson believes splitting the duties with Rodgers may help him extend his career and allow him to possibly play out the life of his three-year deal.

lol @ us paying him 1.7 Million next year. We paid Turner $5 Million last year.

This signing is ALREADY a W.

My nikka Bobby RO-Mack. Dude balled out last year. Dimitroff and Smitty got a good ass eye for DB's.

That music on that vid is trash tho. lol

The Falcons’ top two tacklers last season, linebackers Stephen Nicholas and Sean Weatherspoon, have undergone offseason surgeries and will not be available when the team starts organized team activities on Tuesday.

Nicholas, who led the team with 116 tackles last season, had sports hernia surgery. Weatherspoon, who had 114 tackles, had arthroscopic knee surgery.

Both surgeries are considered minor by the team and Nicholas and Weatherspoon are expected back by the end of OTA practices in June and definitely by the team’s mandatory minicamp that’s set for June 18 through 20.

We need a replacement for Nich. Sports Hernia's are no joke, and he's already a liability sometimes.

I'm glad Spoon got his knee scoped. Probably just trimming up loose cartilage or draining fluid.

Gwinnett County police are looking for a Norcross man they say tried to forge an old rent check from Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones.

According to police reports, Corey Dajohn Moody, 29, altered checks written by Jones and former Falcon cornerback Christopher Owens, and tried to cash or deposit them.

Arrest warrants, filed last week, charge Moody with two counts of theft by receiving stolen property.

Moody, police said, used to work at the Preserve at Mill Creek where the two ball players lived, and stole their June rent checks.

The checks were filed at the office of the Buford apartment complex after being scanned for electronic deposit, police said.

With Jones’ $1,500 check, police said Moody attempted – but failed – to make a deposit using a Chase Bank smartphone app sometime in January.

Around the same time, he changed the check number on Owens’ payment from “217” to “1217” and was able to cash the check for $1,243.60 at a Chase branch, according to police reports.

I'm starting to think Gwinnett might not be the place for Julio lol
