Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon and safety William Moore, in speaking to the media Wednesday, were in agreement about who their favorite prospect in the 2014 NFL Draft, and it’s not who you might guess.

While headlines swirl around players like Jadeveon Clowney, Khalil Mack, Greg Robinson and Jake Matthews, Weatherspoon and Moore are looking at a different spot for the Falcons to target in the draft — that being safety, and their favorite among them being Louisville’s Calvin Pryor.

“That’s gonna be tough because we’re sitting at (No.) 6 right now,” Weatherspoon said. “I had a chance to talk with him (Tuesday) and he’s just wide-eyed, talking about what he’s looking forward to in the NFL. I just told him, continue to work and take care of your name, first and foremost, because right now, during the process, it’s about the talk. I told him to handle his business and he looks like the type of guy, we get on our defense, he can make a lot of plays.”

Pryor is rated as the second-best safety available on many draft guru’s big boards, behind Alabama’s Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Pryor brings a more physical game than Clinton-Dix, however, and that’s what stands out to both Weatherspoon and Moore.

“I saw Calvin (Tuesday) and walked by him and said, ‘I like your game,’ and he said, ‘I like yours, too. I look forward to working with you’ ” Moore said. “It’s a crazy process. I told him the same thing — I look forward to working with him. But, the process, no one knows. That’s what they do upstairs. That’s way out of our league, but I really like his game. He seems like a really confident guy. I actually sat down to watch some of his highlights and that’s one of my guys. If I had to pick, I’d pick him.”

I love the early Aints game, but I hate the extra late-season Aints game.

Game might not even matter for one or both teams.

Both games should always be within the first 12 weeks.

I dig the perfectly placed bye week too.

I think Shawty-Lo did well last year. It looked like Coffman had the leg up on the back-up TE spot going into last year and it looked like it in camp -- but when the season started, it was Lo gettin' all the non-Gonzo reps.

I don't think anybody in the organization planned on him catching 40-50 balls behind Tony G as a rookie mid-round pick.

I would be very surprised if we went without some type of trade. Dimitroff has traded like 3 straight drafts.

Not sure if it will be a first round trade tho.

If it's a trade with Houston it's Clowney but if we trade with the Rams it's probably for Mack. Clowney on the other side of Watt would be too much to pass up for the Texans if they don't trade.

That win against Washington might've been a bad thing in the long run lol

Draft day rumor

There’s a real possibility that Eric Berry is traded on draft day, with the Falcons being most likely. the price tag is something around a second-round pick.
