Didn't know Snells had epilepsy. That ain't nothing to fuck with. Especially for somebody that'll run thru a brick wall for a first down like it ain't shit.

Yeah, that and severe headaches. I think that's where the weed may have come into play. need that erb to ease his mind. I don't blame him. If I had all those problems I might smoke too.

Niiiiice.

A lil pay bump for Bobby Ro-Mac. That's all he should get because his '13 season was garbage-juice compared to 2012.

I think he'll bounce back.

Falcons rumors for today

Sources: Falcons extremely interested in Jon Asamoah

The Atlanta Falcons gambled with their lone restricted free agent, leaving open the possibility of losing a valuable contributor from last season.

A source with knowledge of the situation confirmed Saturday that cornerback Robert McClain received an original-round tender of $1.431 million. The amount would represent McClain’s salary with the Falcons for the 2014 season.

However, McClain is likely to draw some interest around the league. If he signs an offer sheet elsewhere and the Falcons decline to match, the Falcons would receive just a seventh-round pick -- the round McClain was drafted in -- as compensation.

McClain was the Falcons’ nickelback last season and also assumed the punt-return duties. He had 64 tackles, a sack, and five passes defensed while playing 52 percent of the defensive snaps.

Indianapolis and New England are a couple teams that might show interest in McClain. The Colts have a pipeline to McClain’s alma mater, Connecticut, with four players from the school on the roster. The Patriots are familiar with McClain from his days with the Huskies.

From the Falcons’ perspective, they wouldn’t mind having McClain in the fold but are looking to upgrade at the nickelback spot, too. There is a strong possibility they will look into adding recently released veteran Champ Bailey if Bailey is willing to play nickelback. Bailey is a Georgia native.

According to ESPN.com Bengals blogger Coley Harvey, the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings are expected to make offers to Michael Johnson or at least kick the tires this weekend.

@vxmcclure23: No intetest expressed from Falcons in terms of FS Jarius Byrd just yet, according to source. Price tag will be a concern.

According to ESPN's Adam Caplan, it would be a "small upset" if the Falcons didn't land free agent OG Jon Asamoah.

Caplan reports Asamoah would start at right guard, bookending LG Justin Blalock. The Falcons need multiple reinforcements on the offensive line, but securing Asamoah would be a good start. He's an effective pass blocker and plays with a mean streak. New assistant GM Scott Pioli drafted Asamoah in KC

I dig.

If we do get Mitchell - I wanna see the price tag first and foremost. If we just give him a lil more than what we were about to pay Decoud -- then I'm all for it. If we pay him Willy-Mo type money, I'll be heated.

I like how we seem to be already aiming at the O-line.

I want us to save a few dollars for training camp casualty free-agents too. We stood pat last year at that time and it came back to bite us.

Look like we're about to be a full-time 3-4 defense...

The addition of an outside linebackers coach to the squad creates some question about whether there might be some schematic changes coming to Atlanta in 2014. Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reports that the team has promoted Mark Collins from defensive assistant to the outside linebacker position, which was not a position on the Falcons staff in the past.

Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports that there’s been talk from some Falcons players about just such a change and points out a slew of free agents and draft-eligible players who would help facilitate a change in schemes. It’s all speculative, but free agency could wind up telling the story of how the Falcons defense lines up next season.

I think they may bring in one more vet linemen, someone at a bargain price once the dust from FA settle.

Babs must be asking for more than the Birds are willing to pay because it looks like he may test FA to see what he can get. I want him back tho but not for too much money. Waiting to hear the word on Solaia, we need a big guy.

Id still like to see a vet LB signed and a safety so we can cut DeCouldnt.

Update: Now they are saying Babs and Atlanta close to a 3 year deal.
