Asdrubal Cabrera makes a highlight play almost every time he steps on the field

yea he pretty much got the Gold Glove in the bag unless he just becomes a butcher with the glove out of nowhere..

9 errors while making all those flashy ass plays it's his to lose as of right now.

the fuck the marlins need a new stadium for??? ain't like anybody goes to there game

I think its for Miami, now Miami can get BB all star games, NCAA final fours, Miami now has a retractable dome with a downtown view, shits hard.

I think people will go to the game just to see the park, shit is amazing b.

Werd. Niggas can't see the forest for the trees. Just the ability to bring in major events like that is nothing but moo-lah. And Miami is guaranteed to host every 3rd Super Bowl anyway, lol.

I was watching a interview of Atlanta's old mayor Bill Campbell back in the day, and he said the Georgia Dome paid for itself 7 TIMES OVER within 5 years of being built. (Hosting Super Bowls, College bowl games/championship games, B-Ball games, conventions, etc, etc.

A good stadium/arena can bring in 5 times as much money to a city than a perennial championship pro-sports team can.

yeah man, thats the way I see, it opens up Miami to every sporting event, rain or shine now. We got a drop top stadium, sun is out, let down the top. And like I said I think it will make the Marlins better because, now they can generate revenue for themselves, unlike in Joe Robbie where alot of the money went to the Phins cause they owned the stadium.

i dont know if people know how bad of a deal the Marlins owner got with the current stadium, its why he spends so little, because a packed house doesnt mean more money for him, but more money for the Phins.

Back when the Georgia Dome was built, the city tried to invite the Braves to play their too, and Ted Turner was like...

...Cause he knew building his own field would be more profitable. He's not even a majority stake holder of the Braves anymore and he's still making a grip off of them.

no Florida Pro sports teams need a new anything, they have horrible fan support there

College football is more popular in Florida than pro sports is..

a new stadium for the Marlins wont do shit but stay empty like the current one, and be a huge waste of money..Pro sports in Florida have horrible fan base..

Hell it took 3 All-star players just to show up at the Miami Heat games and even then the mothafuckas still show up damn near after the 1st quarter...

Tampa Bay Rays couldnt even sell out last year and they won the division ..Dolphins fanbase is garbage , Marlins is garbage , Miami Heat is garbage also just a bunch of Drunk bandwagon party heads down there who show up randomly during the game ..

College is way more popular there than pro is ...

A lot of people who stay in Florida aren't from florida thats why they dont care bout the pro teams, a lot of older people move from other states, and also A lot of refugees stay in florida as well.....

it aint the same like when u go to Chicago,Boston, or NY where a lot of Fans are homegrown fans and kept up with the team since they were kids, a lot of people from Florida aint from there and a lot of them aint even sports fans..

so giving the Marlins a new stadium wont change shit at all, Cuz they weren't fans anyways so they wont give a damn.

nah i was just breaking it down, cuz i see the state of Florida be brought up a lot , and people confuse the popularity of it as far as night life and entertainers with "it's a lot of people there, it's popular , it's places to go, why the fans not there tho?"

it's cuz of those reasons i listed ....

College Football runs that state..

nah, bro, we arent on 2nd generation fans down here with baseball and basketball. Shit aint hard to figure out, these teams been around 24 years(Heat) and 19 years ( Marlins). So trying to compare them to teams where they daddy was a fan, and they granddaddy was a fan isnt fair.

Its a new day bro, my kids are gonna be heat fans and marlin fans, and shit wont be the same.

Good point.

Plus most Florida teams are in transplant-heavy cities.

thats big to, but at some point, those transplants will be from here, the kids they have will be floridians, some will like pops team, some wont.

Shit one of the big sports stations here is the official yankee station down here, Yankees bro, every yankee game is on south fla radio, so yeah, its a different market down here, but I think once we get into the next generation, shit will even out. But if you try to cut it out before it gets there, how can it get there?

Yeah, that's what happened with the Braves and is happening with the Falcons. (The Hawks? smfh)

But then again, winning has to come into play too. Transplants (and even natives) will front like they prefer some other team if the local team is mediocre or just plain gah-bage.

oh of course, winning is the key, look at the Heat, they have Heat fans for life right now, no matter what happens, because they are going to be good for a good stretch and the youngster today are gonna see them on TV and like that team. One of my sons who just turned 4, when we play ball, he says he is lebron james james., so he is hooked, the Heat are gonna be his team, my other son has the middle name of Wade, so he is hooked right there too. The Marlins though they had two titles were destroyed the year after both titles so, perfect example of winning also having a big thing to do with it.
