It's a lot of acts that would be considered real "artists" on there........ I was going to vote for them until I saw Janet Jackson....... Maybe next year.........

Now that I think about it, 2Pac will be eligible next year. What do ya'll think? Will he be a first year inductee or will he have to wait a few rounds?

Lol they ain't making it there's prob like 4 rap acts in it I think RunDmc, Public Enemy , Beastie Boys and furious 5

It may be a controversial opinion, but NWA should have been in before both the Beastie Boys and Public Enemy.

That present list gives ammo to those that believe in East Coast bias.

Your only eligible 25 years after your first single (or maybe album). NWA wasn't eligible until 2014.

LOL @ East Coast bias.

Name some West Coast Artists that are eligible to be inducted in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

Besides NWA, the only two I can think of is Too $hort and Ice T. And I don't think they'd be first year inductees.

Ice T has Body Count too, so that makes him a little more Rock n Roll but the thing should be called the pop hall of fame really.

It's not exactly a popularity contest,.........the artist body of work plays the biggest part and NWA with one ep and two albums are not strong enough for a first time nod to get in......no diss

I agree with you, many of the groups they're competing against have two and three times as many albums, maybe more. However, Grandmaster Flash and The Furious 5 got inducted and they only have two studio albums and some singles. I guess you could count their solo projects, but then you could count NWA's solo projects too.

Well flash & the 5 are among the first on wax in hip hop and dropped a couple of the most powerful message raps in hip-hop .....and that's why they got the nod

So, basically you're saying that they're in because they're pioneers.......Well, NWA are pioneers also. NWA has dropped classics as well as giving us Cube & Dre, who are both still dropping good music.

Yup, pioneers AND the two powerful singles, "the message" & "white lines" .......which are stronger than what NWA put out

NWA has "express yourself" ........and you know "FTP" didn't / hasn't gone over well with the cacs so, there's that
