This happened to me and the wife a few years ago when we were looking into buying a condo. The condo was everything we wanted at the time, but it happened to be in a older, white neighborhood. (Looking back, I shouldn't have wanted to live in that bitch in the 1st place, so I take partial blame.)

We had the credit, the dough, and everything was good. The realtor told us she would get back to us. Less than a half hour later she called and said the place had been sold and she made a mistake by even showing it to us in the first place.

While looking for new places the next day, we saw that it hadn't been sold and they had raised the price substantially. We called the realtor up and asked her "wtf" and she couldn't even lie right. Smh.

That place didn't sell until we were 3 months into our new spot, and it sold for 10k less than what we would have paid for it.

Yeah, that redlining shit is still very real.

It's psychosis. They laugh at us being poor and get angry when we make money and accelerating in life. It's an endless cycle of bullshit.

Exactly. Who gon limit where they can live? Where does it stop? If you got the money maybe you like the location and area. You got as much of a right to it as them. That said there can be a more practical application to it. Having actual experience with different locations sometimes a certain place is just a good fit for you. Who are they to tell you you cant live there? Just on a fundamental level. Not getting into anything beyond that. They wrong for those "rules" not somebody wanting to live in that location.
