I really hope that Life is Good goes platinum

It won't go platinum in this era but it is his 10th studio album and the last two went Gold so this one should go Gold as well.

Not gonna buy after that coon statement about Paltrow. Will download though

It wasn't a Coon statement it was a House-nigga statement.

If you are not going to support the mans music based on a public statement he made that you don't agree with then you shouldn't download his music at all. Just X him out completely.

I do however agree with Nassir on Paltrow being a nigga/ni99er, she's just a genetic-recessive albino-mutant Neanderthal version of what's commonly known as a Negro.
Whats the difference, and besides free damn country so if I decide not to buy I wont. i'M DEF not put any money in his pockets after that statement.

Nas came correct on the accidental murderers track, but I can't really rock with Rick Ross shit at all. I mean his verse was ight though...

as far as the tracklist though? looks pretty good aside from the Miguel/Swizz beatz track.. fuck that. Swizz aint made anything dope to me in about 10 years... Miguel? GTFOH lol. rest of the album looks good though

The correct cultural definitions get skewed sometimes by people online who ain't from the culture and just pick up random slang and cultural idioms and use them out of context....but everybody is confused nowadays.

Flava Flav & Gucci Mane are Coons

Tiger Woods & Clarence Thomas are House-niggers

The House-nigger is a subservient boot-licking yassah-bossah who goes out of his way to please white folks

The Coon is a minstrel buffoon that perpetuates negative racial stereotypes and goes out his way to entertain white folks.

I can't agree with any so-called conscious Black man saying he would resort to acts of violence in defense of a white womans use of the N-word, to me that's like a slave saying he would jump in front of a bullet to save his slave-master on some house-nigga shit or fight another slave that's attacking his slave-master. A house-nigga statement.

While I don't agree with Nas statement I can separate his personal statements from his music and still support him as an artist, I don't agree 100% with the views of any entertainer alive but that won't prevent me from enjoying their art.

Nassir is the Goat even after that foolish lynching of the JayZ puppet and saving on the Paltrow bitch.

Just finished listening to a playback of Nas' Hackney set on the radio here and caught the Queens Story joint at the end.

Its a sample of Tom Brock's I Love You More and More (Same one Mike G used on the Odd Future radical tape a couple of years ago)

Basically from the first verse I caught, it was Nas rapping about the dealers and people he knew in Queens (mentions E Money Bags) and getting with Stoute.

Sounded dope, reminded me of something off American Gangster actually."

From someone who saw the performance..

I read on hiphopdx that Kelis is feeling the album cover.

During an interview in the U.K. she touches on the topic and says:

“My feelings about it are not really relevant, but you know at the end of the day Nas is an artist. And for whatever it’s worth he’s one of the greatest, and especially for what it is he does,"

The singer who packed her things and left nothing but the dress behind when the two split, continues:

"So for me, I feel like especially for someone in hip-hop to kind of be genuine and honest, whatever the honesty is about, I think it’s awesome. So my feelings about it aren’t really necessarily valid, it’s just the fact that as an artist I can respect that he wears his feelings on his sleeve.”
