I think it's funny they kept bringing up sales and global impact and blah blah blah but Meek made it. Meek deserved it but if he could make it some of the less popular more skilled artists should've made it as well. Cole being left off was a joke....

i like cole but kendrick had the better year section 80>cole's album. like i just typed mtv cares too much about commercial play than anything else. like you said you can't put ye at #3 and jay at #6 and with that same criteria say meek mill should be on their.

My top 10 hottest rapper for the 2011 year

1.Kanye West- 2 muti plat albums, world tour, grammys. hottest track of the year "niggas in paris" most sampled track of the year , Ham.

2. Drake- take care was a creative album, sold well. and made other rappers tracks hot also.

3. Lil Wayne- i put him 3rd soley based off the sales of carter 4, i didn't like it but i respect the music.

4. Rozay- rich forever was a dope mixtape no doubt.

5. kendrick lamar- section 80 was my favorite album on 2011 and his mixtapes, internet singles are all fire, no duds. even his newest music like cartoon and cereal and his joint with rapsody are hella dope.

6.Big KRIT- just like kendrick consistently putting out dope music. listen to boobie miles

7.Common great album, this with his cocaine 80's collab put out great music for the last 12 months

8. Meek Mill- has improved every track he spit on with other rappers. 6th man, lou williams of the rap game. if he had a good album out i would of put him higher.

9. Mac Miller- very underrated simple because of the color of his skin. dude been putting out great tracks for the past 2 years, and had a album that sold very well on a independent label and no advertising.

10. Jon Conner- alot of hype coming from dude and his latest mixtape the blue album was dope. especially since the mixtape was with all jay z beats.

Honorable mentions:

Asher Roth- pabst & Jazz was a dope mixtape

The Roots- i know their not technically a rapper, but the roots is just the best at what they do.
