i Dunno if anyone is Watching the MLB Network , but im just amazed at How Messed up baseball seems now , they sittin here wasting 20-30 Minutes Brag'n on Players Like Carlos Pena who hit .196 with 158 K's last year and they just keep saying "Oh man what a Outstanding pick up by the Cubs , this guy right here can just mash the ball out of the park" , thats whats wrong with the game now , way too many All or nothing players at the plate, u cant count on them when u need them, they strikeout a ton, Usually leave a ton of runners on base, cant hit and run with those guys

like i think thats insane to Pay a guy that much Money just to watch him Get Lucky every once and a while , dude is a career .240 hitter and Averages 100 K's a year , yea he may hit some homeruns but he gives u way More negatives than Positives

made me sick watching them Brag on Mark Reynolds yesterday to im like man STFU dude cant hit for Sh*t he just Hacks , hitting in the low .200's and Striking out 200 + Times a year u not a good player ...Homeruns just a part of the game but that happens every once and a while , id rather have someone who Hits 280.-300. Average ,20 Homeruns ,80 RBI's and Doesnt Strike out a lot rather than what Players like Reynolds and Pena do

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- The Nationals keep generating buzz this offseason.

Washington is "being aggressive" in its pursuit of a trade for Royals ace Zack Greinke, a source said Wednesday.

That term seems to be the theme of the Nationals' offseason in the wake of their megadeal with Jayson Werth and reported pursuit of big-ticket free agents from Cliff Lee on down. But while luring quality free agents to D.C. might remain difficult until the Nationals can demonstrate they're ready to contend, they could make themselves better of their own accord by swinging a deal for an elite player like Greinke.

The pitcher is signed through 2012 at $13.5 million for each of the next two seasons. He can block a trade to 15 teams.

FanHouse analyst Frankie Piliere says the Nationals have enough young players in their farm system beyond the presumably untouchable Bryce Harper to make a trade, but it's a matter of where the Royals can find the best package in return.

I think the Pena deal is a pretty good signing. The Cubs absolutely needed a first basemen, and its not like there were a ton of options out there. They were limited after Gonzalez went to Boston. It was Pena, LaRoche, or Chris Davis(who actually strikes out just the same as Pena), who were probably looking for multi year deals. 1 year $10 million is really not that big of a deal in today's baseball climate. Pena has a fantastic glove and lots of HR and RBI Power. Had a tough year at the plate last year with the injuries but even if he improves enough to hit only .220 lol he'll have close to 30 HR and 100 RBI's

it's worth the risk, put it that way. The Cubs suck anyway, so its not like he is making this team worse

this one year deal will allow the Cubs to spend big next offseason, or at least that's what their thinking should be, when players like Pujols/Prince become free agents

I hear you though

I always wondered if players that literally can't hit their weight but hit 30+ HR's and 100+ RBI's really help their team out in the long run

I remember one year when Dunn had over 100 RBI's but didn't record a single sac fly lol

who say's Yankees are the only team to buy championships lol

maybe another bullpen arm and they're set. Lester and Buchholz are both great pitchers. Dice-K sucks and Lackey and Beckett both had terrible years but they could bounce back next year(or be terrible again lol)

the Yankees have to sign Lee now. I'd ask for 30 million if I was him

The white sox fans obsession wit the cubs is pathetic,Its that classic secondary inferiority complex

Instead of worrying about their overrated acquisitions they steady talk about the cubs. The white sox will never win another Ws as long as the twins, red sox and yankees exist worry about that not the cubs

Dice K doesn't suck wtf u talkin bout? When healthy he's a lights out pitcher. If our pitching staff is healthy, you might as well wrap it up. We could use a better closer tho. Papelbon is shaky

I might have exaggerated. I forgot he was battling injuries. And that is a tough division to pitch in so we'll see how this year goes

bad day to be a Rays fan. If they only they supported their team

I think the Red Sox have taken over the Yanks as the best team in the AL East, albeit on paper. Number one reason is the Red Sox now have younger players who are in the prime of their careers. The Red Sox pen is unreliable to say the least, but the Yankees don't have a great starting staff themselves. It's going to be a great two-horse race in the AL East, and most likely the entire American League

U Clearly Dont watch much Baseball......At All

just stay in Donkey

his ERA is usually in the 4.50's or Higher , he has one of the Worst WHIPS in baseball , but u probably dont know what that is , the Fact u think Dice K is a Lights Out pitcher is Hilarious ... he's had one good year ..he Gives up a Ton of Hits and Tons of Walks ..he sucks.

Dude gives up between 8-10 hits per 9 inning's and 4 or 5 Walks Per 9 innings .....Thats Brutal.
