Even if employers tell you different

For me I have so much use or lose time they beg me to take off sometimes lol

In a way it can be beneficial, but I feel like it's a cop for when they cannot do the job or do some stupid shit on the job.....

Why violate your own rights and let everybody know you're crazy and on all types of medication....

when I need a mental break I walk over to the fridge, grab a beer, then stretch out on the couch and flip through some channels. Sometimes I grab a controller and fire up a Cave shooter or some other old school arcade game on MAME or fuck with an old Genesis game.

Nothing more ....after 3 days we are required to bring a Dr. note. But it only says we are under Dr. care for X amount of days

My job is very laid back and family friendly so I only do a Dr note to CYA... I've never been questioned about using my time

My last few jobs were pretty much like "email your manager if you're not coming in", no explanation needed. If I had to take a personal day I just had to make sure I specified "personal day" over "sick day" so it could be subtracted correctly.

Shit that's why I have over 100 hours of PTO right now. My workload hardly ever allows me to take time off.

Nothing wrong with it at all. Everybody needs to get away from the gig and experience life outside of it sometimes before they snap. I take time every now and then just because, some people live, breathe and shit their jobs and wonder why they have anxiety and depression so much. Leave that 9-5 on the shelf sometimes and chill.

You have to specifically ask for that time tho
