6 outta 10 rating for an debut album is not acceptable. kendricks was 9/9.5 in most knowledgeable rap opinions.

My thing is, why does EVERYTHING have to be a classic though? I'm cool with an album that will give me a bunch of songs I'll bump all the time, compared to an album that is really good, but is more "mood" music.

I expected a 6/10 album from him, and that's what I got.

Meek Mill himself have been hyping this album to be "classic". Go through his interviews- he expects this album to put him on a legendary tier. This album being underwhelming may have been expected by you, But that's not what meek was thinking by making such bold claims

Same thing with wale. Now a days in hip-hop it's like you have to hate on niggas you like just because they go overboard. Wale was comparing his album to reasonable doubt and shit like that and I think it's dumb for niggas that make very good albums to do that. But then when you drop some average shit it makes me wonder, like what are you hearing nigga? If Kendrick doesn't even think his shit should be considered classic yet and he dropped a great album why this niggas think it's ok to compare they shit to classic albums? They really fucking themselves over. The PEOPLE decide how great your album is, until then rappers should shut the fuck up...
