How you guys can see he's boring is beyond me, just from a lyrical standpoint alone you can tell the attention to detail that he puts into his rhymes he doesn't just stay stuff for the sake of rhyming (although he is capable of freestyle songs) the thing I think you all are down playing is Lu's versatility which is why the threadstarter keeps bringing it up, there aren't too many emcees past or present that could do something like "He say, she say" "dumb it down" or "daydreamin'" plus if i recall correctly didn't he make a song about conflict diamonds before kanye did i'm not sure. Everybody might not like his choice in beats but it's not like they're just outright awful and his flow is good enough that he can get on pretty much a song from any region and sound at home on it, sittin sidewayz anybody?

It might make a difference that I take his mixtapes into account when I include him on my list

Because that's Lupes niche, he doesn't straddle the lines of commercial success on a mass level and retaining the respect from the streets and hiphop heads like (Nas,Jay,Biggie,etc) did. To me the real goats are the artist who can manage to to touch on all levels of hiphop fans and maintain their respect.
