Off of longevity alone, Nas is one of if not the best that ever did it. DMX reached his acme on his first album, every other subsequent album was just a pale version of the previous one. A true artist experiences growth and is able to adapt with the changing landscape without totally conforming.

Life is Good was arguably one of Nas' best offerings. What other rapper who has released 10+ albums can that statement hold true for? Who has consistently put out stellar material that could compare to Nas' discography?

Fat joe career shits on nas career. Fat joe has never made a whack album. Steady 20 and 10 career. Fat joe is Gary Payton. Nas is Derrick rose. Nas albums are all overrated. And severely lacks replay value. Fat joe has been out same amount of time and is always relevant, always has bangers for clubs. Like it's been 3 years since Nas has put out material and it lacked the replay value to last 3 yrs. the guys work ethic is horrible. Fat joe put on big pun and dj khaled, contributed. Nas hasn't contributed anything to hip hop. I'm sorry I'll take big pun and dj khaled career over Illmatic.

2. Camron

Cam has 4 classic albums and 6 albums better than Illmatic and has started trends which has lasted longer than his entertainment relevance. His contribution to hip hop is only comparable to dr. Dre, rza, eazy e, jayz. An era of hip hop belongs to canton and what he created. The Dorset brand is bigger and more memorable and more legendary than Nas period.

3. Dmx

4 classics 7 albums in half the time of all of Nas subpar albums. Bigger impact and more memorable than Nas career

Keep the list going with reasonable rappers that are better than Nas. My criteria was the rapper has to atleast seriously contributed to hip hop. Mans before this turn into cunts saying I'm trolling, I like Nas I feel like his best material was rarely on his albums, but it's not enough of it make up for his subpar albums. And the only thing Nas has contributed to hip hop is ether and I'll say Illmatic but in actuality it was not that good. Who else is better than Nas besides jayz
