Fat joe was/is trash cuz

through and through

but he was the first to tear up Diamond D's legendary beat. I know that Hov guy used this beat but still, this was strictly a DITC production.

Sorry dude but Biz Markie rocked to that beat in 1989, 5 years before Fat Joe

Check It Out - Biz Markie

I think it's safe to say my hiphop pass has been revoked.

Don't worry. That Biz Markie album wasn't that good. It wasn't mixed/mastered properly. The only song that really sounded good was Just A Friend.

Nas around that Stillmatic/Lost Tapes time period was as good as it gets. If you want to take into consideration discography and longevity, then it really gets ugly.

No rapper is for sure better than Nas. All you're going to get is a bunch of "hell no"s, "no"s and "debatable"s.

How you figure ? The 1st 2 classics the 3rd was dope to at least 8 fire joints on there outta 14. The 4th is what it is hate it or love it

then Stillmatic, god son, lost tapes. So we 7 in with 1 dip in quality. Unless I'm taking your post the wrong way

There's music, and then there's pen game, and what's good musically is far more subjective. Nas' pen was at its peak around the Stillmatic/Lost Tapes era. Similar to when the greatest athletes have that perfect balance of athleticism and knowledge of their game, Nas ranked elite in all categories around that time.

I can't clearly place any rapper above that Nas lyrically, all I can think of is a few arguable candidates.

Lyrics is not music, nobody is going to come in here and tell me nas makes better music than those listed. And as far as lyrical ability goes cam and P are debatable as to being better or equal to nas
