If in the contract it says he has creative control of his album then he can take them to court. NObody on this site knows what's in the contract to talk about if he can sue or not .

correction if he has a "clause" in his contract ... that states once he completes his album the shot clock starts and the label has a certain amount of time to either Release the project or thier contract is void or they could just sue for breech of contract due to them not releasing his album in a timely fashion once it was completed due to provisions in his contract ............
