slim thug was killin lil flip too, i believe it was a separate dispute tho. that boss basics still among my favorite mixtapes EVER

That shit was stupid, Slim Thug just made an assumption that Flip was dissing him on the Z-Ro song "From The South" with the line "These rappers finally get some fame and think they got it locked/Nigga when yo album flop nigga you gon be on Koch"

damn, didnt thug have beef with z-ro too tho

Pimp C - "Slim Thug & ZRO, yall still bull shitting/Need to sit down, take a tour, its too much money to be getting"

I heard someone say that it almost became a Northside vs Southside H-Town street war again

Slim Thug caught feelings over Lil Flip wearing a shirt that said "The Boss" in that Chingy video.

The Slim Thug and Zero beef pretty much a product of the Lil Flip situation. Both sides though the other was throwing shots and then Killa Kyleon had that freestyle where he said something like "competition is a zero".

It's funny cause Z-Ro had like a little street interview was like "I ain't doing this rap beef I'll kill yall niggas", had Slim shook for awhile. If you remember that Houston cover for the Source a few years ago you can see Slim Thug looking visibly uncomfortable.

Everybody is good for the most part in Houston these days though. Slim Thug and Z-Ro were supposed to do an album together but I don't whatever happened with that because that would have been a good look

Why people acting like there needs to be some deep discussion on why Flip fell off. TX rap in general fell off. I don't mean that in the sense of every TX rapper being wack. I'm just saying that there was a period where TX rap was the big thing, and anyone repping H-town instantly got spins. That lasted for a while, and then the run ended and all of them disappeared over night. Now you don't hear much from Slim Thug, Z-ro, Mike Jones, etc... or any of them dudes on a national level. So it shouldn't really be surprising that Flip isn't big anymore. Especially given the fact that, as others in this thread have already mentioned, he was always wack.

To add to that, I'm pretty sure I remember Flip was claiming that Slim stole a rhyme/song book from him in a studio. Of course Thugga claimed bullshit.

Hell, TI had more Houston artists on his side than Flip did. I don't even know why Scarface did that shit, he and TI don't have records together. If anything you'd think they'd have beef b/c Scarface had Luda at Def Jam South.

That was during the time everyone was fending for self. Since Flip was hot and he 'didn't bring everyone else onboard' there was friction in Houston. There were just too many alliances and shit to sift through. Plus it's not about sides, TI attempted to pick out a weak enemy and it backfired (fight wise, but musically he launched the fuck off on that Flip shit). He never released the tape that he had.

Here's the scoop from the people who were there. I believe this story over TI's version.

Yeah I've always leaned towards this story just because they're 3rd people and have no reason to lie in favor of Lil Flip.

Houston rap didn't have much staying power main stream wise because.....

1. Little to no unity, everybody wanted to do their own thing and had different agendas.

2. We whored out our culture as soon as we got on. We couldn't couldn't even for a little bit and the next thing you know everybody riding slab, everybody had grills, everybody had chopped and screwed cds. Everybody capitalized and profited from Houston rap see except the Houston rappers.

And it was ESG who was accused of steal Flips rhyme book

Yeah Ro dissed Killa Kyleon on the song "It's Going Down In the South" where he spit something like "Killa Kyleon you better stay in yo place/If I wanted you dead I'll send my bitches with razors ready to play wit yo face" He also dissed Lloyd Banks in that song.

Pimp C tried to tell them niggas in a interview before he died. He said "If yall niggas don't get to rapping about something else beside them hoe ass cars, watch it leave the south. The bottom gon fall out & when the bottom fall out, only 2 people gon be left is Pimp & Bun"

How you drop a double album with three good songs on it

Man, I actually liked this album, yes it shouldn't have been a double album as all the songs would fit on one blank CD much like Master P's Good Side Bad Side but it damn sure had more good songs than just three:

"Game Over" (Flip)

"I Came To Bring The Pain" Featuring Ludacris, Tity Boi, & Static Major

"Sun Don't Shine"

"Represent" Featuring Three 6 Mafia & David Banner

"Rags 2 Riches" Featuring Will Lean

"Sunshine" Featuring Lea...this shit was actually catchy just got hate because of the "I'll treat you like milk" line

"We Ain't Playin'" Featuring Pastor Troy, Baby D, Killer Mike, & Shawty Beezlee

"U Neva Know" Featuring Butch Cassidy

"Drugz"

I remember a lil Z-Ro interview where he said if he wasn't such a real nigga he would have lost his street credibility when he started fuckin with Flip

was this after the beef, or b4 and no one gave flip any credibility from the jump?

Think Flip's biggest problem is that he had self-confidence as a light skinned dude, and Black men--even other light-skinned niggas--can't handle it without trying to call it "fake" or "weak." Seriously, if you watch those T.I. interviews from that time, he was over the top with the accent and tough talk to seem legit. I think Flip probably not really having to struggle or not running what struggles he did have into the ground for tough points had a lot of people "in his corner" giving him the hater eye.

The minute Tip popped up, they decided to "expose" the fake nigga... who helped feed them and bring attention to their projects. Honestly, who's the bigger ho in that situation: a dude potentially back-biting for some pussy or a dude who goes on to talk about said back-biting in songs, interviews, mixtapes, etc. for MONTHS/YEARS?

I could see if Flip was his main man being that hurt. A dude you ain't even know? Fuck outta here.

I respect his rap hustle, but in another 10 years, Tip gonna even admit that's probably the pussiest that he's ever looked. Every man done had his mack tested. Not every man keeps his bitch AND STILL whines about the dude who tested her.

Funny thing is no way T.I. could serve Flip one on one, so don't no why he lying about that. I know people that was locked up with T.I. in Forrest City and they said he was 5'7'', 140 pounds soaking wet, meanwhile if you've ever seen Flip in person he's like 6'4'', 220.
