i can say for me jay z unplugged got him back on my radar. i really wasn't feeling volume 1 and 2 plus he stole a go go song from some DC cats and did them dirty. he was just out of my ears for a 2nd. Then teh unplugged cd got me back on board then the blueprint gave him a 2nd run for me

this was true
at one point rap music in the media was epitomized as snoop doggy dogg
jamacia;2779794 said:what artist that are currently in limbo do y'all see making a second run? for me the obvious choice is 50 cent.
usmarin3;2779841 said:I think 50 is done, 50 came into the game on some gimmick (he got shot 9 times), not on some artistic shit. Once the newness and shock value wore off, people lost interest, he was never a great mc to begin with.
As for your question, maybe Snoop again, Dr. Dre is suppose to be producing his next album. As a producer maybe Mannie Fresh, maybe Mystikal, etc.
choppa_style;2780702 said:Most of those people didn't fall off. Like Snoop has always sold as far as I can remember. Same with Em. Common never fell off because he was
never on
in the first place.
CirocObama;2780732 said:I don't think he's talking about sales. I think he's talking about falling off to the public eye. Just overall.
Like when Snoop joined No Limit people almost gave up on him and his first album on the label was garbage and people thought he just rode the bandwagon and so on. Just an example of what i think t/s is talking about.
choppa_style;2780954 said:He should be talking about sales since that is what most use for that gage. Personal opinion is impossible to argue because its subjective. Sales are the only real neutral benchmark.
