Lets be real: the 2000s rappers are starting to die out just like the 90s rappers before them.

on your ipod maybe

i never even heard the song or saw the video

I hear it on this thing called radio. Just because they don't play on the country hick anime channel doesn't mean it does exist. LIG sold 350k but keep talking how its irrelevant

Isnt rick ross like in his mid 30s? Wayne been around since late 90s, Ross mid 2000s and the remaining (Wiz, Kendrick, Asap) just came out. Most of the artist that can still sell units was born in the late 60s and 70s (Jayz, Kanye, Nas, Rick Ross) Hell even 2chainz in his 30s....70s baby in all are still running the game

Yeah T.I. and Wayne are the youngest of the last generation. 32 and 30 respectively. The rest of those guys are on the other side of 30, even the new guys are not that young these days.

at least i am comfortable about the future of hip hop with some of the cats that are out now, compared to say 2006-2007 time period.

Those were some terrible times with the one hit wonder n all. Same time when techno was integrated with R and B. Auto tune was running shit, and tight jeans just became popular.

If you lose sleep over what state Hip-Hop is in, you my friend are a lame ass nigga. As much attention as ya'll give to the shit ya'll don't like ya'll really must like it on the low.

I know somewhere deep down in your past you had to have a amateur rap career. The way you be trying to call folks wack. I know it. You was probably garbage as hell too. Jamaica the Diabolical Rhyme Lord. I bet you had a composition notebook you titled "The Temple of Bars" written in permanent marker graffiti on the front. I bet you called Papoose for a verse in '05. I bet you called Papoose for a verse yesterday. I bet your ass couldn't rap for shit. Ol' Hip-Hop is Life ass nigga. Hip-Hop since 1978 ass nigga. Picture with KRS-One at the annual gathering of the Hip-Hop's ass nigga

the reason some of the older rappers are still lingering around is because the new ones are not good enough to push them out. The 90"S KILLED the 80's but this era can't seem to kill the previous ones. The new artist are just not as good.

Slept on truth!

When the 90s rappers came up (Nas, biggie, jay, 2pac, wutang) those niggas didnt cry about the 80s rappers being old and not giving them shine. They just dropped them gems and knock them niggas out the box and took their spot.

And also these new guys like meek, Drake, Big Sean and j.Cole all want features from these 90's rappers its hard to take their spot when you begging for their cosign and feature all over your album.
