He cooked a steak dinner w/ buttered rice, seasoned steamed veggies and made small dish of peach cobbler for dessert. That's not what got me in the mood tho. It was his approach. A lil over the top but it got my attention LoL (thats all I'll say). I figured he was either crazy or really sincere. He turned out to be cool. He bragged about his cooking skillz so I decided to try him out, then he hinted at his oral skillz so I decided to go two for 0 and he was rite again... so I figured why not go for three...lol We kicked it until he went to the service. =(

We kept in touch tho.

Lol

So this ngga marinated a steak and boiled up some rice...my bad, rice with butter

Chicks is funny b

Yeah check her pick on mediatakeout today. She lost like 50 lbs and it look damn good. Seen a picture of her when she was a skinny teenager and she didn't even look like the same person. She's definitely a beautiful woman.

I cut grass and have changed the oil in my mothers car.

Neither are big deals, and neither are all that time consuming.

Cutting grass=20 minutes max

Changing oil=15 minutes, draining is another 30 if you want to be extra thorough. But you don't have to be sitting around for that time.

If Im sitting there making a sunday dinner that's going to take hours to cook, damn right he's going to keep me company.

How would you feel if you spent hours doing something for your family who was in the next room completely ignoring you for their own fun?

Besides, before I even got annoyed with that Id just start day dreaming, and there'd be burnt food. So it's in his best interest too.

WTF are you cooking that it takes hours, turkey? beef, chicken, and seafood generally don't take that long to cook and most of the shit is just prepping prior (seasoning), which in itself only takes 15 minutes at most. Lets me honest, cooking doesn't take that much time if you plan ahead and it's quite easy to multitask when you do.

It takes no effort to cook fresh vegetables as side items or cook rice.

You need to stop acting like providing for your family is some tedious task that you're too big for. I'm sure your man does shit that he doesn't deem fun to make the family run smoothly.

Yall need to work for tabloids...smh

How can you can read what she said, and make a thread about 'how important is food in a relationship'

Yall act like they broke up cuz the Tata salad wasnt good smh

Refer to post #31. Jill Scott didn't need to be mentioned within the thread to validate it.
I just plugged her in seeing as her album is out today... and now she's on your mind, hopefully she'll be on your playlist

I was raised to take care of myself. It's nice whenever my wife cooks for me but it's not required. We cook for each other, but there is no schedule. If we want to eat at home but she doesn't feel like cooking I'll make dinner, and vice versa.

If she wasnt needed, why mention her? When you clearly know the premise of your thread was not why they broke up?

if you making your own sauce from fresh tomatoes and herbs it does. anyways. not everybody opens up jars and cans to cook. my hubby wants my hand in flour and corn masa all day if he could.
