EVERY New Yorker should have apostles warning, still shining or drop a gem on em playing at full blast right now. Take off that suit and tie button up bullshit and put y'all timbs and hoodies back on. I wanna hear that grimy pissy strap in the Avirex leather raps.

NY is gentrified. Most of the (older) grimey heads been pushed out of the city and many of them are down south doing-guess what?-trap music. Yep, the same niggas that tried to make their LOX impression turned into trap rappers.

B.O.B. 's response...funny how he did K. Dot's flow at first.

I dont hear that much of a diss but its a cool ass song none-the-less.

If that diss was two parts the first where he was using KL's flow then switched it up and kept going at him with his natural flow

That could have been real impressive

smh...

dude raps lupe eats shea butter, makes fun of asap rocky's hair, disses rappers on instagram etc ....weak

the hardest line was "trying to make sure your core fans never heard of you niccas/ they don't wanna hear not one noun or verb from you niccas.."

yet yall are riding his dick

wtf am i missing lol

I don't think it's so much about the bars as it is the bravado to call out whoever like that during this age in hip-hop/rap where everyone what's to hold hands and sing (literally/figuratively).

and that is somewhat respectable, nothing new in hip hop though ...and people are talking as if he slaughtered people and i'm wondering who did he slaughter

is name dropping a nigga and taking a cheap shot at their hair on a track considered a "slaughter" nowadays? lol

smh. had he not name dropped anyone his verse would have been ignored and forgotten

Naaaaaahhh for real lmao? The verse was dope even without the name drops, but how many rappers you know that even have the balls to go at people the way he did realizing how high profile he is. He even called out dudes he was on the track with and this is just run of the mill? His boldness in this shit is unmatched in this era. I guess it's good to have a few contrarian cats to balance out the scale though.

Bruh ..

Kendrick got the likes of BDK, Craig G, Bun B, Jadakiss, Just Blaze, Talib Kweli etc talking about that verse . .. Seasoned vets of the game

Where @RuffDraft at? That's the nigga who put me on to Kendrick over three years ago. ..

Might just bump gkMc and light one up just because . .

Haha I'm in Hong Kong, just been in Taiwan. I'm back Sunday so I'll be getting up on the stuff I've missed then.

It's good to see Kendrick Lamar getting the mainstream hype he deserved so long ago. Nobody is sleeping now, all eyes are on him, and in many ways, it's long overdue. It's good to see people coming back at him and he's always a reminder as to why hip hop still breathes, as without Kendrick, K.R.I.T and a number of other upcoming emcees, I for one, would have lost interest. With CunninLynguists set to drop an LP with a follow up to 'Seasons' and The Foreign Exchange about to drop too, things are getting exciting again. As this year, it has been slow, but that might be down to me being too busy.

Kendrick Lamar Artist of the Month from a couple of years back if anyone wants to read up on his earlier days.

@rip.dilla props.
