Agree or Disagree?

Judging by the responses I would say he motivated a few. Lupe and Mickey to be exact havent gone in like that in quite awhile.

Alot of people are talking about the lyrical aspect of MCing now too so that's a positive.

He was right on both points.

niggas got enough time to go on interviews and tweet sneak diss but cant get in the studio to make a response.

hip hop has become too much of a business, this whole control beef will be irrelevant if no one he called out responds, but instead decides to wait until an award show or an album release to throw out some small subliminal and that ll be the end of it. maybe im getting a bit anxious but still

LUPE FIASCO-SLR2

[Verse 1]

Dear Lord, have mercy on my banana clips

Give 'em half, call it that banana splits

But my halves is really like a banana 6

Do these bananas have any idea who they on the planet with?

Apes, yeah you bananas to the grapes

That mean your bitch got a banana in her face

And wine on her chin, get these heathens off of my trunk

And all of these swine up off my rims

Tryin' to take the shine up off of my Benz

SLR, nigga please

Niggas 'bout to go to work so these bitches gon' have to leave

Gon' roll around with that B-Y, nigga just roll up my sleeve

Got body plans, so I karate stance so I could open up my chi

Lu the boy, too Bruce Lee boy to destroy

Doo doo beat like two tea boys with one freak one me

But I can DP like it's three more

Three rewards for me or me or me or me or me or me

Team me is like me eating animals meeting a meteor

Dinosaurs, I'm fine with all kinds of wars

Knives and swords, lions, tigers bitin' boars

Lightening striking viking hordes

Fighting heightened, violence soars

Wie kommt er kann nicht so böse wie Lu bekommen?

That was Adolf, reacting to my new shit

Translation: how come he can't be as evil as Lu get?

Well that's cause you ain't Lu, bitch

Took two sips of the holy grail

Then I backed up and I turned around

And I bent over and pittoo'd shit

I love Jay, that's my nigga

I feel sicker than a cruise ship

I ain't competition, I don't move shit

The only opposition is his new shit

These new niggas rappin' like they 2

They be actin' like they you, man that's-- wheeeeeew shit

What happened to the game?

Niggas think they Jappin' cause they rappin' like they Wayne

Rappin' like they Chainz

I ain't matchin' them and platinum

But I'm rappin' like I'm flames

Like smackin' them in the back of him and my antonyms is on 'cain

And my heroin is on metaphors and my metaphors is on brains

My left foot is in LA but my right foot is in Spain

Now we all heard what he said, but what he said means we dead

And that shit is insane

He's so crazy, look at the little baby

Nigga you ain't Nas, nigga you ain't Jay-Z

You will respect me, you will reject me

But I've done so much, no matter how far you go, you will reflect me

SLR, nigga please

These niggas 'bout to go to work so these bitches gon' have to leave

And when the bitch gone, knee shots disabled

Your DVD of Dick Jones in your TV and a grenade all on your table

And my punch bowl's like an ocean

And I lay it on by the ladle

But it's so strong, when I pull it out, I'm only hangin' on to a handle

Satan on my ankles while I'm hangin' on to an angel

Ain't hatin' on that you hatin' wrong, cause you can't hang on to my angles

It's hard being a Lupe fan, go to Harvard to be a Lupe stan

I ain't sayin' that I'm harder, it's just harder when it's in Lupe's hands

Welcome nigga, Lupe Land, SLR

Here we go, FL bars

Hold up, go back to the hard part

Would say pause, but I was talkin' 'bout my own balls

Nigga

ok lupe......

I dont know, i feel lost. Never been a fan of Lupe but was this a response or just a random song? Seems like hes impersonating certain rappers flows or whatever but..i dont know i just felt confused by that.

"lupe went over my head post"

Nigga was rapping in german & metaphors about dinosaurs and shit, the fuck you mean?

Fuck this have to do with the discussion at hand. Is this his idea of lyrical battle? That's why i asked if this was just a song or a direct response cuz it seemed like random babble.

*sigh* u know the lyrics are right there right?

like u ain't even gotta listen to the song no more, u can just read the lines

His was the most lyrical outta all the response, not really a 'battle, take it to smack tv' response but a truly lyrical display of wordplay, metaphors, smiles, multi's and all that lyrical jazz that nigga's missing in they bars nowadays

Too much tho right? Not enough small words and catchy punchlines, my bad

Twerk Miley twerk..............

Big K.R.I.T. spoke with HipHopDX about his reaction to the verse, explaining how it connects with Hip Hop history.

“Rap, Hip Hop has always been mad competitive,” K.R.I.T. said Tuesday. “It's exciting because it was probably crazier for his fans, for him to mention my name among rappers that people would consider top tier, [rappers] people kind of look at as being the future and my name just randomly popped up. So what I got an opportunity to see a little bit last night and this morning, was just people that probably never tweeted me before, whether it be negative or positive. For me, it was like, ‘Thank you for the promotion.’"

Kendrick Lamar's verse may introduce new fans to K.R.I.T. who were previously unaware of his skills as a lyricist, he said.

“It let people know that, ‘Yeah, I'm from the South and yeah, I'm country but you ain’t going to take me lightly," K.R.I.T. said. "Aint none of these rappers going to take me lightly on a record.’ And [Kendrick Lamar] know that. So that's why my name ended up on that list. If you think about ‘1 Train,’ or any record, I’ma give my all. People know that I'm a lyricist and I can compete with some of the best and it is what is. I appreciate the shout out because that’s really what it is. It’s a competitive sport; it’s a gladiator sport. Don't nobody want to get murdered on a record. That just it is what is. So I don’t know, brother. I was like, ‘Hell yeah.’ It is what it is. Thank you for the shout out and shout out to all the fans that he may have that didn't know about my music and now they gon’ go back and listen to records and check out1 Train,’ and want to know why he felt the need to mention my name. And I’m 100% sure he probably gets tired of going to barbershops and hearing my name mentioned where he is and vice-versa. It's all good man. It's all within the sport.”

Joe budden and pusha t...the only nggas I want to hear w/ a rebuttal

The rest? On the low Drake is more built for this than yall's saviors Krit, j cole, wale, etc...But make no mistake...none of the new guys have 'it'. You can almost read the accompanying 'this is just rap it aint no beef' interview that will follow. ...fuk these overrespecrful nggas. They all soft.

hip hop....real hip hop..is trending right now......

like niggaz needa stop hating and really recognize....this is not dick riding.....this is not band wagon following...

this is real actual hip hop... not poppy cross over type bullshit....

an unreleased track that nobody is making money off of.....

kendrick is at the top of the game as far as popularity and album sales right now......he has a lotta followers...and instead of doing what most do and just look out for themselves.....he basically sparked a fire into the entire genre as a whole....

he has the whole world talking about a verse on a track....

with media being the way it is today....he took advantage, and has everybody paying attention...

the shit was epic and hip hop history....there should be absolutely no hate, everyone needs to give props where props are due.....

i 100% agree with the

and

niggaz needa take note.....I'm not even a big kendrick fan.. but what he just did will never be forgotten...

to be honest it was like the day ether dropped to me......shit was that relevant

So they supposed to beef with a nigga who made it clear the verse wasn't meant as some "let's beef" shit?

Krit ain't the beefing type. He just do his thing & that's make great music & its evident that he made 1 train a crime scene when he bodied everybody on that bitch
