i watched elephant in the room way before i discovered this kid....it used to be on netflix, and i watched it sometime last year, and thought it was great.....

i just heard of this kid a few months ago...whatever day i made the thread about his male honesty video...and i thought the kid was funny...

even in the thread poncho said dude was like a young patrice oneal, and i agreed, as they seemed very similar..so when it came out that he used a lotta patrice's material i wasn't surprised at all....especially considering the shit happens all the time in comedy.....

the kid's still funny

One thing I remember is that patrice biggest fears was to become a martyr in comedy. And to add to this, the guy who is rippin some of his stuff just got way more attention from this. Hes has nothing to lose because hes a youtube celeb who is getting all the attention now, good and bad. So even if he loses, he still wins kinda because hes the talk of youtube currently.

And its not that people are catching feelings, but I think they saw a man who struggled to get his place in the comedy world die too early only to have some guy take his style. Funny thing is if the guy in the video becomes a big star or gets some lucrative TV show off his videos, that pretty much would be everything Patrice spoke against and ether to his grave. But it wouldnt be the first or last time this stuff happens. lol
 
even though he dropped this vid giving props to patrice before he was "exposed"

No you can't, because not every comedian ever has spit another comedian's material verbatim and then turned around and admitted to using that person's material word for word.

I'm confused. Why are ya'll dudes defending this cat so hard? Are you on his street team or something? I can understand saying too much is being made out of this. I kinda agree, but I don't see where trying to defend biting the shit out of someone is coming from. People do it for Jay-Z, but he's a Superstar with a Super resume. This kid's a nobody, so why are ya'll riding for him so hard?

Comedians don't play that shit when it comes to biting the next man's jokes and that is understandable. This isn't hip hop where quoting a line or 2 here and there is looked at in a different light. Bare minimum, dude should've credited Patrice somewhere in the video. At the same time, I don't get the vibe that dude did it maliciously. That's my gut feeling, but that doesn't excuse the fact of what he did.
