Even with who shot ya coming out after pac getting shot, I dont recall any lines thats even can be taken as a diss. Only the title and Im sure its only titled that way cause of the first lines of the song

Dude

Yo my boy right

You hold me down when I'm in your town

Some dude you know, is trying to robb me for doing some slick shit

You didn't tell me

I see your boy cease on my way up, be say "yo whatuo sheer excellence ill be right down"

I walk only lobby, I get pistol whipped rob and shot

Then you stop talking to me

You don't visit me in jail

You dint hold me down when I'm in your side of the streets

Then to top it off you relese a song callee who shot ya

That's all kinds foul to me

Why do people always assume jimmy told the whole crew what was bout to happen?

jimmy was heavy in the streets, by comparison - biggie was just a rapper.

You actually think he briefs biggie on all his criminal plans?, especially when he knew Big & pac were friends and could potentially tip pac off?

I'm not no gangsta, but its common sense to tell as less people as possible bout something like that (the less people that can open there mouth in the future & get me knocked, the better).

Believe it or not, plenty niggas have the sense to keep that shit on the low, even from there homeboys.

Let's assume biggie and them didn't know the hit was coming

They

Still turned their backs on him

They still didn't go visit him in jail

And they still released

Who Shot ya

Im just saying,, if you were my friend and you did what biggie did to tupac, at the very least

We wouldn't be friends anymore

I can respect that way of thinking, that does make sense.

This is actually a good thread (even though this is old news), no dick riding, just people giving their honest opinions.

You are kinda right, but you can understand Pac feeling some kinda about it, alot of the lines are open for interpretation...

'It's on ni**a, fuck all that bickering beef

I can hear sweat trickling down your cheek

Your heartbeat sound like Sasquatch feet

Thundering, shaking the concrete

Finish it, stop, when I foil the plot

Neighbors call the cops said they heard mad shots

Saw me in the drop, three in the corner'

And the talking from Puff didnt help haha

'As we proceed

to give you what you need

9 to 5 motherfuckers

get live motherfuckers

'As we proceed

to give you what you need

East coast motherfuckers

Bad Boy motherfuckers'

'Didn't I tell you not to fuck with me?

(as we proceed) (c'mon man) Look at you now

(to give you what you need) Huh? (c'mon man)

(9 to 5 motherfuckers) Can't talk with a gun in your mouth huh?

(get live motherfuckers) Bitch-ass ni**a, what?

(get live motherfuckers) [muffled sounds, six gun shots]

(as we proceed...) Who shot ya?'

I understand Pacs point back in 95 but I dont understand Fans still thinking its about tupac today. Those lyrics could be for anything. Its not really different from what he spit on other songs

Yeah, kids that listen to BIG wouldn't have a clue about the subliminals and motives behind the songs on his albums, unless they are massive fans and bother to Google and research hip hop, like me and other heads on here and probably yourself did 'back in the day' haha

But yeah most kids, like my nephew who 'listens' to some BIG tunes dont have a clue about 'Kick in the door' etc I explained and lyric to him couple days ago, 'i used to be a strong as ripple be, until lil cease crippled me' lol

First time ever seeing this performance. Check out 4:21.

Good drop...

First off, LMAO @ at some of that dancing from the crowd or the 'extras'

The who 'shot ya' comments seemed pretty aggressive and personal, especially when he said after that BIG stood for 'Bullet In the Gut'...

So here's where I get confused. At the time of the incident Pac knows who set him up and goes on record, almost immediately, and openly gives a name and information. Isn't that snitching? Why does he get a pass for that? Secondly, he says in the video above he was mad at Biggie for not telling him what happened at Quad. But in the same video he gives the example in the first 30 seconds saying that if something happened to Biggie in Cali "NOOOOO I wouldn't tell him who did it..." But he also admits Biggie warned him to stay away from specific people. If anything Biggie did what he was supposed to do. He knew he couldn't stop it from happening so he gave Pac a direct warning. Pac just contradicting himself. This is why I believe Pac used the incident to sell records and for promo. Pac getting shot had nothing to do with Biggie. It was connected to other business. Pac was more affiliated with Jimmy and Jack than Biggie was.

That video was actually part of the off-air personal convo between Pac & Sway during the break of their radio interview, which Sway "secretly" recording and it was publicly released after both Pac & Biggie died.

Biggie and puff shoulda looked out for him that night or at least held him down in jail

And releasing who shot ya was throwing fuel on the fire

Biggie essentially turned his back on who he was saying was his boy

only thing i dont agree with what pac is saying ... is the whole biggie is trying to be like me stuff

im pretty sure that radio female friendly music was more influenced by puff than 2pac

not the whole interview tho !! sway is still holding on to it !!!!!!!!!!!

SO Henchman Side Snitched out Puffy for being a little boy diddier and now is snitching himself out on conspiracy charge that is past the statue of Limitations of course. He is making himself more valuable to the feds than the outside kats he did work with who for now have more reason to either silence him or help him get out so they can silence him. Either way he keeps digging it deeper he must feel really betrayed by his circle to put all this out here like that even if it is just confirming shit everyone already assumed/knew...

2:17 Biggie acknowledged Pac's influence on 'Ready to Die'. Pac gave him advice, Biggie went with it and Pac tried to take credit for it. I love Pac, but he acted like every rapper was trying to steal his style. From Nas on 'It Was Written' to Cube with the Westside Connection, Pac thought the rap game revolved around him.
