Jeezy- "Seen It All: The Autobiography" Official Discussion Thread 9/2/14

Finally got around to listening to this album. It was aiight. A few weak joints though that shouldn't have made the album IMO, but a solid 4 mic album nonetheless. That Jay Z collabo "Seen it all" is the standout track for me. Dope album. I think this needs to grow on me though. I'll give it a few spins. Copped it off GP and waiting for the physical albums so I can bang this in my car though.

I could see why these Tyler the Creater a*s n*ggas like a Stew wouldn't feel this album though. It's not made for those type of n*ggas. Jeezy not doing rap gymnastics on tracks, trying to show how nice he is. If you want that, there's countless other rappers that can provide that. Jizzle just speaking his truth and a certain demographic can identify with that. It's similar to how Eminem albums never have any replay value to me and how I can't relate to the majority of sh*t he or rappers like Kid Cudi like to rap about. Different strokes for different folks and that's what makes this genre so dope. There's something for everyone IMO...

Jeezy TOP 5 ATL trapper of all time

As far as trap rap jeezy is the GOAT....he birthed the genre....from how niggas flow to the production.

Overall ATL rappers i wouldnt give him top 5...he def top 10 tho

He did not birth the genre

He didn't but I can kinda see why these guys are saying. Jeezy's Trap Or Die and TM101 changed the way rappers were making tracks. That mixtape and that album damn near sparked off a whole new subgenre. Ingredients, a trapbeat, a chorus, addlibs, repeat a few chants throughout the track and rap slow and you got your trapjoint.

Without Jeezy there would be no rappers like Rocko or even Rick Ross the way he rapped after Port of Miami.

Cool Breeze and them were the first rappers I heard speaking of this trap sh*t. Then TI came out around '01 and Jeezy in '05.

He did tho...those two albums are the blueprint to trap music

Yeah, I get why some say it too, Tho. TOD and TM101 were my soundtrack back in '05. Lol.

Cool breeze and others did talk about that trap shit years before Tip and Jeezy.

I would say that Tip brought it to mainstream while Jeezy and Shawty Redd gave it that signature sound.

The Recession

TM101

Seen It All

TM 102: The Inspiration

TM103

Great discography. Pretty accurate too. Although I may switch Recession and 101 around, but that may only be because of the personal memories attached to 101 when it dropped. And even with 103 being at the bottom, I still play it as much as I play his other joints.

That's just a testament to Jeezy's talent and ability to make a good album.

I have been listening to this album almost every day since I got the link and I don't think I've skipped a song yet.

lol i love Muhanned 's posting style

its always

"Opinion"

"segue into rant about the failings of today's youth or black culture with * instead of spelling out expletives"

Jay wasn't on 102 or the Recession.

Technically he was .. If you bought the album that included put me on remix

*sips tea* seems someone didn't buy that album

Wrong. I own The Recession. It's not on the physical copy. Wrong like you were with your 1st statement bout Jigga being on every album
