Yo, this is some wild ass shyt.....lol....Firstly this diss records ending careers is the biggest b.s....Shyt has never been done....Jay couldve definitely got at him though....Another thing, I was in Ct and Ny and no pac didnt get burn like that...Before he started dissing, so that isnt why....Maybe that was part of his beef...But back on topic, Jay did the right thing by not releasing that shyt.....I wasnt even a Pac fan and fell back from listening to Drop A Gem On Em....

This what I'm saying, if you was around at the time, Pacs behaviour was reckless. And it was Suge that put the battery in his back.

But Pac realised when it was too late, he got real humble near his death...interviews became more reflective instead of spitting at cameras.

He wanted off of death row and had he lived, would have eventually did all possible to get right, cause he really was getting robbed by Suge. He wanted off DR and that is fact.

Pac never had a father figure I guess when Suge paid his bail and sign him to one of the biggest label in the country then he felt like Suge was a kind of father. A real brother that took care of him .

So I think Pac felt like he would ride for Suge whatever happend so I don't think pac saw it as suge robbin him.

Pac leavin Deathrow was a part of the deal my g he had gave suge alot so it was ennough . Pac pretty much gave it to Suge for bailin him out and taking care of him,.

Pac was a power house back in those days, drop a gem on em was a weak ass diss response to pac after he put hit em up out & called out niggas families & personal business on that

Drop a gem on em was way too subliminal, it made mobb deep look scared

Niggas ain't really bump nas on the radio like that until street dreams came out & everybody was like why he steal pacs beat

I'm from nyc, pac did not get played on hot 97, if you talking about any song other than the Tapachula b biggie msg freestyle , or posthumous pac like end of time are the onlyyyy tracks by pac that were played (if u say anything else your lying) and jay was biggie man for real. You know the whole commission brooklyns finest I love the dough thing. So to say jay would have just been another artist is foolish

Exactly..... Dudes acting like if big and pac didn't die then Jay would be somewhere bagging groceries or flipping burgers

A lot of these dudes was ten or younger, so they minds weren't developed fully. They made everything into comic book tales so when pac died the superhero myth became fact and biggie became enemy.

They say no one else mattered, because in their 10 year old brains, that was true. If biggie had died first, they'd be saying exact opposite shit.

If jay had died after reasonable doubt, but pac still lived up until today, ppl would be saying "if jay had lived he'd have taken the crown from pac because...."

Same way they do about big L taking it from jay had he lived.

Yea the allure of the "what if" is always crazier then the actual fact which normally is something real simple and not so complex....if big and pac had lived Jay still would have blew... You can say he might not have been the biggest rapper half a billionaire still the most popular 20 years later guy and that's up for debate but to say he only blew becuz those 2 passed is way off....Jay wasn't sum lil cease or tony yayo for 50 or something just signed to under big happy to get a look him dame and biggs was working on they own look and they own situation which they were gonna do no matter what..... And the hits were gonna be hits no matter what

Lol i got another card for yall, yall really aint gin like this shit

I kno yall nyc cats hate that niggas think yall soft lmao, where u think came from?

One nigga changed ya whole towns reputation n yall think so backround no name nigga ( at tge time)could move him? Lmao

Pac already had 15 cases in 14 different state... dude was reckless waaaaaay before deathrow. Suge aint did nothing ,if anything, Pac stayed out of trouble.on deathrow, He was either recording, touring or was on a movie set.

Mutulu wasn't a father figure to Pac?

According to many accounts Pac n Suges relationship was very hostile, during a few months before Pac got killed... Pac knew he was getting robbed n constantly demanded his money from Suge.

Folk

you stated this, but who is hearing this record??

When you got a nigga doing 5 million in 2 months off 2 videos..and I'm not even counting how he's all on your TV screen and radio..Who is really checking for an unknown nigga that's making a diss record that most have never heard of??

Niggas down south hadn't even heard of Jay-Z in 96 to be real about the whole situation..

You really believe that?

Folk I traveled to majority of the HBCU campuses and most are near the hood if not in the hood..down here in the south and at that time and they were the main source when it came to listening to music, and noone was talking about a Jay-z or bumping his music..hell the radio stations down here wasn't even playing this dude (I'm lying..aint no nigga got a few spins..mainly because of Foxy, but it was mostly kast and Pac that was being played and underground Cash Money and Mystikal..etc...

Maybe you were bumping Jay-z, but alot and I mean alot of where I went wasn't bumping this dude

Let me ask you this real quick..Do you think RD was been played at Freaknik or at the Bayou Classic or other black events that were happening in 96?

my college roommate from jersey turned me onto reasonable doubt. i was vaguely aware of jay-z b/c of the dead presidents video but there was nothing memorable about the song that stuck with me. dude got no play down south or anywhere else outside of the tri-state.

atl always had a relatively large east coast population but they werent even bumping that shit. jack the rapper was based in atl and was the freaknik of the music industry. even with that jay-z and the east coast as a whole got little to no love from the atl. and by atl i mean regular, everyday, greenbriar and south dekalb mall dudes, and going to washington and mosley park on sunday type of dudes.

some radio djs tried to push that shit but nobody in the streets was really fucking with it. biggie got some love and east coast transplants fucked with the wu but that was about it. it was all about pac, too short, death row, warren g, spice 1, scarface, ball and g, ugk, master p and the dungeon family. kilo and uncle luke got more love in atl than jay-z did. ppl may have vaguely heard of him but nobody from atl was really checking for that shit. these are all facts. i was there

I don't know why yall niggas hate ny so much. But it's a fact that jay wasn't gonna end pac career with any diss material back those days

People ain't really start payin attention to jay until streets is watching came out & then people was like Oh okay he on some street shit, then volume 3 dropped & he had all those features & nice beats help him out those are facts

lol at ur proof. pac was holding center stage like a g. that other dude was playing the back like he was rosa parks.

we dont even know when this pic was taken. it could have been taken before the so called beef. and furthermore pac was on top. fuck he look like picking some random dude from the back of line to beef with. it was up to prodigy and dudes like him to make a move. pac wouldnt have gained anything from roasting some random dude in the crowd. it was up to p to step to the goat and make himself known and take his respect.

it looks like pac didnt even know who prodigy was in that pic. dude is just another face in the back of the crowd who was happy to be in the vicinity of a star. shits no different than that gay-z pic.

It was literally nothing but space and opportunity for all of these bitter ass NY niggas to strike back. By them electing not to go to war with Pac already tells you what kind of soldiers they were. Jigga warriors can tweak all the variables they want to try to make themselves feel better but history is already set in stone. Jay Z, Nas, Mobb Deep, Biggie all sat an watch as Pac nuked their pride and their home. The fallout of the blast changed NY forever. Now those same radio stations that didnt play Pac now play Future more than NY artists combined in last 5 years. NY radio is a cancer amongst itsself destroying each other and holding back artists with silly feuds started by white boy DJs. Nicki is NY biggest artist and she cant push 400K in a city of 18 million loudmouths. ASAP got black Harlem thinking wearing dresses and fucking drug addict white chicks is living it up. Yall hate yall own local artists like Troy Ave but let cali niggas like Kendrick say he the king of your city. Nas moved to Georgia then Cali. Jay Z moved to Jersey then transformed into euro hov. 50 cent moved to CT. Fat Joe moved to Miami. Serious fucking question who is the face of New York right now? You never had to ask a question like that before death row wars. Niggas like Mase, Mr. Cee are admitted transexual fuckers. Southern artists are now selling out MSG while NY artists can barely get niggas to stay awake at their free shows in the park.

You fuckin dumb, it 96, not 2012, if big ain't respond bc puff told him not to why would anybody with hopes of being big level or higher diss pac? There's a reason y diddy didn't allow that shit , if u was from ny n rappin and u dissed pac , u was not gettin on period. Stupid niggas

I am not tryin to say Jay is wack but during Pac was alive there could not be possible for Jay to kill Pac career. Nigga thats true facts shit Nas didn't even feel him during that time he was supposed to be on reasonable doubt but Nas said he didn't feel Jay like that, he was not a fan at all. And now ppl claim Reasonable Doubt is the GOAT album? Nigga gtfo

Man ya niggas is some joke do you really think Pac gave a fuck bout Jay like that?

You do not know anything bout rap history. If you do your research about who Pac mention the most in his disses it would be 1.Nas.2.Biggie 3.Mobb Deep. I didn't heard about Pac goin at Jay at all.

Fuckin im so pissed off this board got so many jay z stans..

then listen closer stupid

I swear you and murdrap or whatever are the same person with how stupid your comments are

Yeah no doubt. I never understood the Revisionist claiming "Reasonable Doubt" is a Classic. It's got some good music on there but calling it a Classic just becuz it's Jay-Z and it's from that Golden Era is crazy

It's classic bc it was jayz first album, and the music has stood the test of time and has had a major influence, it was also a culmination of those 93, 94,95 years in nyc (illmatic, illuminati want my mind soul and my body, the books every street nigga was on in nyc)
