Why do you think that single was so bad though? I'm thinking because it was featuring you know who. I'm not really basing this off singles used to pander to a mainstream demographic, I'm talmbout the meat and potatoes of the album......I got a feeling wale bout to drop something really special. He certainly has the lyrical ability to drop a classic album.

Bad Girls Club is a great song, although it never charted. And i feel Wale is going to drop a great album as well.

2pac or T.I. didn't have fanfare and T.I. wasn't bombing. He was becoming a Southern power each year. Completely moved himself from comparable rappers at the time like Baby D into a regional legend to become a worldwide legend. 2pac didn't have the fanfare as Cole does for his raps as much as his acting but he wasn't in Cole's lane either.

Lupe made a hot album and never disappointed his fans at that time, that was a very odd mention.

The other rappers I will compare to him are rappers in the same lane in the same period of Hip Hop.

Charles Hamilton, Drake, Wale, B.o.B, and Asher Roth. All of them are very talented. Some failed, some switched their lanes, and some are still growing as well as improving.

It's funny what a lack of development and signing with the wrong group can kill a talented artist. Soulja was able to stay in the game for four more years thanks to signing with Colli Park. Who you sign with and how they develop matters or you can forever limit yourself if you pick wrongly.

ur missin the point bruh. im sayin none of them sold records on their DEBUT ALBUMS, but then LATER went on to sell records, which is what i think will ahppen to cole. i'm not talkin about label situations or what lane their targeting, although ur post was good, u just missed my point.

Im not reading too much in it ur just not looking pass the surface. The Major difference between a Ross and Akon is that Ross seems to be holding their hand through out the entire thing (Featuring on Meeks biggest song to Date and Self Made alone) Akon let his artist be Minus T Pain in the Start but he got the drift and let him spread his wings. Ross is more like Weezy with his approach than Akon. Which isnt a bad thing but i dont see how Ross improved Wale or Meek Millz musically or Artistically.

i think ur giving too much Credit.....

Everyone has a different approach. The big difference is we seen what Akon has did and the results. Gaga is one of the world's biggest artist. T-Pain is one of the most known artist in the world. We seen the results. It's kinda hard to say what the official results will be for Ross but we see the improvement. We see Ross doing for his artist is what he will do for himself. Finding beats and tracks that best fit the personality of the artist as well as making sure is really good music. So that is what we have that we can go off of. He has improve his artist. Even though they are talented, they needed to tutelage to get to the next level. Ross has brought that to the table. I wouldn't say that if I didn't believe it so call it what you want.

Weezy and Ross are comparable in some dimension. Nothing is wrong with that either. Akon been around longer than both Weezy and Ross. He was in the game when the Fugees came out. Yes, it's been that long.

Real talk. Ross could really help homeboy with his career. Imagine if Cole woulda been more involved on Self Made (Think Rise or the intro). Ionknow just seems like he could really fit in over there, it'd be interesting to see what Ross could mold him into.

agreed...he'd definitely get more light.. Ross is the way..lol

What cole needs to do is hang it up and get a 9 to 5.. He gave it a good run and it didnt workout (lmao). He's not built for this. He can have rap as a hobby and make his little fruity loops beats in the privacy of his own apartment
