I believe more people especially young Blacks should explore skills trades such being a electrician, plumber, welder, carpentry, and other skill type trade.
The trades are generally considerably cheaper to get, one doesn't have to go to school as long, and individuals also do accumulate the amount of debt either.
More individuals should look at entrepreneurship as well, because there is more money to be made when you work for yourself but it also requires more discipline.

Do you know how fukin stupid that sounds. Do you understand what that says of what you think about our race
'Low expectation havin mfer'- Chris Rock
Ngga thats what they tell ex-cons!! Tha fuk...
What is wrong with what he said? Everyone cant be millionaires or college grads even. Someone has to change that tire, Flip that burger, fix my AC unit, cut the grass.
If a Black person is content with their lives making $18.00 an hour, living a modest lifestyle and plans for a comfortable future. Let it happen.
How is it low expectations to not only think about the high achievers but also the low achievers that just want to have a modest lifestyle.
I think there's a geographical disconnect. Crude, You, and I are from Louisiana. The place where a person with a skilled trade can out earn a person with a degree by the hour, day, month, or year. We've seen this happen and have probably lived it. Where I'm from, the 2 year process tech degree is crushing it right now. Welders, construction, and electricians are right next to them. Clearing $80k and up. I made so much money after Rita it was unbelievable and I was just an instrument tech (associates degree). That gas ya'll burn in your car has to come from some where, truck drivers maybe or just plain magic. It really comes down to how you want to navigate your own life. A degree is great and all but there are other options, people need to know this.

Look up IEC(Independent Electrical Contractors). Also look up CEF(I believe it stands for Construction Education Foundations). Those are two good places to start.
