Is it a FLOP that Nicki Manaj is about to do J cole numbers???????? (220K projected)

If I have heard anything new from this chick, it was purely by accident. However I am surprised at these numbers. Thought she was on some Pop, Lady Gaga shit........*shrugs

It really depends....cuz Katy Perry and Rihanna who are arguably just as much her "peers" as Drake and Weezy are never do huge first weeks either, and look at their records. I havent heard the album, but if its deep with pop records she easily could hit plat with enough radio play.

idgaf what nobody say. She ripped that stupid hoe track. That shit hit in the trunk. Its a fun record like massive attack was and its starting to pick up spins. Nicki will be alright.

Lol funny part is that she's still going to go platinum.

Actually with only 200-250k sales, there's a strong chance she doesn't reach Platinum. This is clearly a sophomore jinx if I've ever heard of it. Sure she will have the #1 album in the country but how do you go from 375k to 200k in a year an a half and you are suppose to be more popular now than you were. I mean grammy to super bowl performances, Pepsi deal, she's everywhere yet her fan base stayed home for the follow up to her blockbuster debut? Looks like going Pop wasn't as smart of idea as she though. It's clear this album is not that good, it's getting average reviews. She went way to Pop and it's going to affect the overall sales. She may go Plat but there's a chance she won't get there.

no. B.oB first week sales were 80k, he went gold because of his singles. Best believe that nicki minaj will have top 10 singles that will carry her album sales

lol people said the same thing bout her 1st album then she dropped like 8 hit singles and her album kept selling, she aint worried about 1st week sales every song she drop is a hit

They already playing the shit out of that song w Chris Brown from the album, its the most added on the radio

50 got u niggaz brain washed with the 1st week sales shit, theirs 52 weeks in a year.... she'll probably be sitting at 700-750 by next month, and plat by the year end...

i honestly didn't kno she had an album already out , while it was the opposite for pink friday, in short this is now where near a flop

Y'all niggas can't fathom the power of gay bitches and faggot niggas when it comes to supporting.

True, the hoodrats and gay & lesbian community held her down last album. I think many of them are tired of her too though.

220K is good and the album could pick up steam later on, but I have a feeling that people are realizing that she's talentless.

Ala the Mike Jones effect, people realized he was a wack gimmick after his first album.

220 seems like a good number to me. She doesn't seem to have any steam this time around. Last time her album dropped she had mad radio play and a movement behind her. This time it just seems like they just threw her album out there. Not sure what her last album numbers were but 220 isn't bad. Ask yo gotti

can somebody explain to me how sales pojections are made?

how do they know how many albums are going to sell?

im still waiting

All the retail stores report to the pace that albums are selling to Soundscan (one source) i believe, it's kind of a scientific method and it's about 99% percent accurate. Hitsdailydouble.com is pretty accurate, the only albums i've ever seen them off of is The Carter IV, some how that album went from projecting to sell 600k + albums to a mil in a week. They were slighty off on BP3 too, they projected 300k and it ended up selling 400k + albums.

with all of the promotion they give this wack bitch she should be going gold the first week at least, so yeah this is a flop

shouts to me for a plat thread. I wanna thank my family, and my boring job for allowing me to get a plat thread in less than 24 hours of posting n all y'all nicki fans lol. "we did it Baltimore"

Superbass wasnt an urban record cause it got no play on urban radio... it was strickly top/pop 40 or dance stations that played that joint.

"Starships" is a bigger hit than "Headlines" yet Drake sold way more cause he dropped another 4 Mic LP. This album can't be any better than 3 Mics and her own fan base knows it which is why they stayed home. Go to the "Stupid Hoe" video, I've never seen a youtube video with that many dislikes.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that her first album's first week benefitted from the Black Friday holiday rush. Just an observation.

Actually, "Super Bass" was #2 on the Rap Charts and #6 on the R&B/Hip Hop charts. How did it not get play on Urban radio?

It's crazy, just goes to show that numbers aren't everything. Nicki Minaj = 10mil+ Followers on twitter, Drake = 4mil+. However, Drake sold more three times more.
