No. Lawrence is starting to understand where he is in his life, and he's breaking away from the norm of being in a relationship, and all the stress/drama that it brought him. If that was the case of him loving nothing but relationships, he would've moved in Tasha's spot by now. He's trying to get his own space, while still casually satisfying his urges, all at the same time understanding that he wants his own non-committment path. That's making him "villainized" in this series by some women; the fact that Lawrence wasn't right while ol girl took the lead, but when he finally started to get right, she did the foul shit, and he got out. The problem was females got mad at him for rolling like he "owed" it to her to take that shit and stay because he wasn't straight professionally, and she was carrying him.

He's finally saw the worth in himself, and decided to detach from that system of perpetual unhappiness he had, both with his social (and emotional) life and his professional, while not turning into a total hermit (hence him still smashing Tasha). Now, he's in a better space (somewhat) emotionally, and doesn't want to fall back into a commitment, but will still fuck Issa because she still has a spot in his heart emotionally to him.

I just find the whole thing a bit funny....and hypocritical.

Breh...he broke away from the norm of a relationship because he's single. Lol it's that simple. He's not doing anything revolutionary. We don't need to over complicate this situation of him figuring out his life after a breakup because it's a man here instead of a woman. He was done dirty, went to Tasha because she doesn't treat him dirty, and fucked issa and dipped because he wanted to get one over on her emotionally because he knows she still feels like shit over what she did to him.

He doesn't want a relationship with Tasha but I doubt this situation with issa will make it so he won't ever be in one again. You get your heart broken, you take time to deal with it in your own way, then you get back out there and date again.
