Religion is more powerful than truth. if someone catches cancer its wasnt because they smoked it was because the lord has blessed or cursed them with it

No im not, example someone like doyouwant2go2heaven or w.e it is. He doesnt believe in science, which would include western medicine and findings. In that case if someone with his views contracted lung disease from smoking it would be false to them, science is what proved it, but in the case of science not being real god would be the option for those people. Same as with the age of earth and how it was made, proof of these things through science however not accepted by true christians. Tell me how that does not equal religion being more powerful than truth.

couldn't one say that ok we put bad stuff into our bodies and bad health will follow.. without needing to turn to science or the Almighty for a reason why?

Yea its common sense, but because it can be proven by science and thats how it originally was discovered, heavy bible followers will dismiss the fact that its true. Gluttony for example is considered a sin so heavy followers point to gluttons being fat as a sign from God punishing you for your sins not because your just eating to much. Where as anyone with common sense will tell you, if you eat bad stuff, you will end up with a bad body.

Could also say smoking is a slow form of suicide.. where suicide as far as I know is not condoned in any religious teachings?
