... are fuckin with Nas's first two.

i agree 'infinite' isnt no where as good as illmatic, but its still fckn dope, and a classic to me, more so for his az/nas like flows...

but an ep cant be classed as an album, just like a mixtape wouldnt... so hs first two albums are infinite and slim shady lp...

EPMD's first 3 albums were bangers.

Off topic but I don't fuck with that 3rd EPMD album

Lol actually I like that one the best

Weird. I think it might be because I wasn't around for the house music trend... that may be why that album throws me off.

On the 3rd album, it was straight hip hop through and through

I think @vslyke is referring to the 2nd album, which had some house joints on it... still a classic.

That 3rd album tho... fuuuuuuuuuck. Hardcore, Rampage, Brothers On My Jock... straight bangers.

The Slim Shady EP was nearly as long as an LP (10 tracks, only 3 of which were skits). I would say it counts especially when there are classic albums that only have one or two more songs on it.

It only had one house joint on it, "It's Time 2 Party". If you really know that era you know that nearly EVERYONE had a House track on their albums or at least had a House remix of their singles.

I was also thinking about You Had To Much To Drink, but listening to it now, it doesn't sound house... my bad.

I dunno about anyone else, but I liked some of them house remixes. De La Soul got one for "Saturdays" that I loved back in the day.

I figured as much. That 3rd album is a muthafucka. Had a young cat rolling with me one day and he was even head nodding to that shit

The game?

i'd put his first 5 albums up with just about anyones...the newest album being weakest but the rest are all solid

Yeah, everybody dropped a house version back in the day, the GOAT one thohttp://www.mtv.com/videos/mc-lyte/33487/lyte-as-a-rock.jhtml

Damn, it's MC Lyte "Lyte as a Rock" youtube don't have that vid, fuckas

Just dropped in to say. This was the best time in Hip Hop imo. Because, you would go to a Hip Hop club, or party. And the DJ would play everything. Hip Hop, House, DanceHall and at the end close out with the R&B. Up north it would be the gulliest cats at the house clubs getting it in. I already know CHI had that ish on lock before the eastcoast. Shout out to Ten city, Mike Dunn, Adonis, Toddy Terry, bobby konders, and Cajmere.
