Damn you really put some good arguments in there hmmm

good thread that shows a lot of diversity in folks music taste. I agree with a lot of everybody's statements on these guys below being the closest if not better

Ice Cube

A Tribe Called Quest

Eric B & Rakim

Outkast

Illmatic > Ready To Die but not by much

Life After Death was waaay better than It Was Written. Plus, Biggie sonned Nas on Kick In The Door and Nas' career declined from 1997-2000.

This is 'I was high when I post this' post.

The only two SOLO Hip Hop artists that I can think of right off the bat with the most powerful debut and sophmore albums is:

But nobody answered...are we're talking about SOLO or GROUP?

T/S always posts heavily opinionated threads and whomever disagrees for whatever reason is discredited as a hip-hop fan and/or faces a barrage of profanities and degrading names.

Ice Cube always a solid shout, so was Eric B and Rakim's albums, those are 2 that I could accept not only because of the quality, but because of the obvious impact they had on Hip Hop and the shape that it would go on to take... With that said though, I don't think they are actually better albums than Nasir's.

WTF, who did I attack or offend in this thread based on their opinions? foh

Stop trying to inherit other posters battles on here, there's band of groupie ass muthafuckas that stay on my dick in this forum, and you outchea trying to audition, shyt is disgustin, get of my dick...smh

Btw, looking around at this forum, I can't help but quote the great Nasir Jones: 'Name a thread that I ain't influenced" B-)

First post, new username. Fuck the world... But y'all are dumb. Arguing this shit? Oh let's consider Power of the dollar as a debut, that shit was shelved. Section 80??? That was a mix tape, no matter the argument it was not a proper debut like Illmatic.

Now honest answer I don't like Illmatic, no matter how hard I try shit is boring. Reasonable Doubt to me is the better album. So my opinion is biased.

Kanye: CD and LR

Lupe: F&L and The Cool

Drake: well I already know this will be hated, but impact and quality..

Shit what about that boy Em??? Slim Shady LP, and Marshall Mathers LP killed the game, and were his best two albums.

Fuck it's a toss between Yeezus and the white boy.
