Master P is the most successful rapper. The things Jay Z is doing now Master P did in 1997-1998. He worth 600 million. He turned rap money into legitimate business ventures like real estate, sports managment, energy, telecommunications. He had the best record deal in MUSIC history. not just hip hop. His independent films inspired the WSHH, Youtube DIY projects. He played in the NBA. He wrestled. Despite his gangster rap image he managed to get his kids to star in his own produced nickelodeon show on primetime tv. He is an active face in the community. Him and Juvenile were on emergency radio in louisiana during katrina as it happened. He rallied with Nagin and spoke up against Harry Lee fat ass and that other racist deputy who was shooting niggas trying to flee to safety. You name it P done it. The only other names need to be mentioned with Master P is Latifah, Cube and Will Smith.

Based on what, he hasn't produced anything that's tangible or on the level of Reasonable Doubt, Black Album, and Blueprint, for such a better mc lyrically.
Eminem is overrated as hell as a lyricist imo, all he does is uses a lot of multis and speeds up his flow so it sounds impressive. Break down jay-z bars and all his dual meanings/wit/wordplay and it's easily better than Ems.
For arguments sake Hov is the most successful MC of all time. When we put in guys like Master P & Diddy they weren't great artists, they made the bulk of their money through other people and other business ventures. Will Smith, Ice Cube/T and LL made a lot of money outside rap true indeed, but few made as much money as an MC than Jay-Z. Eminem would probably be a closer rival in that category than anyone else mentioned.

Look, just because you see his name on every Hip Hop website everyday talking about the next thing he apart of, doesn't mean much when you have a dozen emcees who keeps their flow and ventures to themselves. This is the money generation, so whenever a so&so is printed for doing something, its nothing but another notch on their belt. As you said, Will Smith, ICE CUBE, LL, ICE T, LATIFAH including Eminem, don't have to rap anymore !! They are straight. Alot of their ventures are behind the scenes, keeping their shit on the low. You won't see them in forbes because they have no reason to put it out there for the world to know.
