Is Jay the best rapper? No.
- this is obviously up for debate since it's based on personal taste but I don't even think I would put him in my top 10.
Is he the most successful rapper? No.
- Like him, hate him or whatever Eminem is the most successful rapper. Eminem has sold more than 10 million more albums than 2pac who is #2 in all-time sales. Eminem has sold something like 35 more million albums than Jay, with Jay putting out 4 more studio albums.
Is he the most successful rapper/businessman? Quite Possibly.
- This is something you would have to ask Forbes, but I think Ice Cube and LL Cool J could give him a run for his money as they have both been involved in many side projects and both have also seen success as actors.

Most successful Rapper do y'all mean sales or our we talking about something else. I would think Eminem would be the most successful sales wise . Jay made a lot of his money off of Rocawear, The 40/40 stuff like that . those are outside businesses.

assuming wiki can be trusted, Em has sold in the neighborhood of 85 million records, next closest rapper is Pac at around 75 million and as much as I love Pac, his sales figures are distorted due to all the double albums since each sale counts as 2 units. Pac is likely actually closer to 65 million, which really goes to show how impressive Em's record sales are. Keep it 100..... Jay has made 3 classic albums- RD, BP, and the Black Album.............. Master P and Diddy can't even rhyme, but i agree they are good businessman...
