i jumped straight out of high school into a live in relationship with my high school sweet heart. we were both virgins and we hadn't dated anyone except for each other. we fucked like pornstars, we knew what the other liked, etc. but it still didn't save us from the perils of forcing ourselves to grow up too fast.

after we broke up, I dated around for 18 months before I found my husband. i dated older men, men my age, lightskinned men, darkskinned men, etc. I got played by a few niggas, and I ended up playing a few niggas myself. It was in this time that I learned what i really wanted in a man. You can't decide what you want in a man if you don't know what's out there. And lets be honest, how many of us get it right on the first try?

Being single and committed prepared me for the everyday duties of marriage, because I've had the best of both worlds. And now I'm a happily married woman.
