Then Camron takes the same route to slaughter jayz and 50 cent and so called hip hop purist act as if it was insignificant or wack. Both of these diss records overshadowed ether by far. Nas was dead when ether came out . Cam shut nyc down with both these diss records. And they are arguably better songs than ether. Ether is overrated by Nas stans. Even xzibits diss to jermaine dupri is comparable to ether.

Nothing honestly came out of Cam's beefs that he had that was really all that legendary. Jay & 50 kept doin them, Cam's kinda faded in the backround. There's a reason why on wax they didn't take him seriously. Plus Cam came off as a bitter dude more than the better rapper outta those "beefs".

That is true, but Cam didn't really start hitting Jay with disses until he was already beginning the downturn of his career (mainstream wise anyways). Same with 50. Perception is everything. I remember a lot of people wasn't tryin to ride with Cam no more after that (didn't help that Dipset was also beginning its rift). While I admit Cam made me laugh with some of them bars, overall it didn't amount to shit.

People can argue rather Either was good or if Nas or Jay won. But it made a lasting impact on rap. Cam can't say that about his disses. Which is sad cuz he was right to make them songs, he just went about it wrong.
