With layoffs they call us in the office and give the speech on lack of work. Then the foreman tells you to get all your stuff and he (or security) escort you out the gate. It ain't bad on turn-arounds, those are jobs we knew was temporary. But the shit hurts when you been on the job for 5 or 30 years and they send you out the gate. Sometimes you never see it coming, sometimes they give you a warning. Sometimes you work a whole day and then they give you the paper work, sending a fork lift to get your gain box.
Sometimes management staff might just have it out for you and they'll literally set you up to get fired. I've seen co-workers pull the same shit on each other to get the other fired. Ratting sons' bitches.
I got fired from my last job for telling management staff bout supervisors fucking over the labor during a safety meeting. Left the safety meeting went back to work and then 5 minutes later I got called to HR. They called it confidentiality breach, riling up people causing a ruckus, and making members of management feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Terminated me on the spot. Security walked me to the gate.
Might get fired from my current job if the rumors of the supervisor cussing people out is true. I'm waiting on the day that white bread chicken shit tries to pull that crap with me. Hopefully, they only send security and don't have to call the police.

got laid off from a warehouse job making pools....pulled up and the boss standing outside handing out pink slips...nigga shut the whole night shift down....cool ass job too....ran my own section and pretty much did what i wanted...had a lot of weed custo's including my supervisor....dude gave me a good reference tho *shrugs*

I've been laid off twice (I count getting a full severance package with 1 month pay for every year of service as laid off)... the last one in 2007 was WOAT...
June 2007 - Congratulations! You've been promoted to Sr. Director of Strat Planning and Analytics! I'm suped... the only downside is that I stop reporting to the CFO (cool dude that was in to car restos, like me) to a Russian broad that was 1 level above me (You see where this is going).
So I move my desk to the Strat Planning area and get cracking on BIG projects... coming up with Organic and Capital Infused growth models... bustin ass... the boss's boss is impressed which makes this bitch get jelly... All of the sudden ALL of my work must go thru her, no matter WHO requested it... I side eye the heffier and keep it moving... pushin out work... Everything I give her, she has issues with and asks for drafts and re-drafts... in the meantime she's taking the work to others and taking FULL credit for it in meetings that I'm uninvited from. Okay... I don't care I'm getting paid & the CFO and the VP of Finance are trying to get me back on the squad after 4 months...
THEN... October 2007
I'm working on an E-Commerce Project and send her some numbers... She reads thru my email and says, "Rosebudd, you must be an idiot, if you think..." All ears perk up in the area... I calmly say "Morena, don't address me like that"... she starts in again calling me an idiot, now loud as fuck... I ask her to join me in the conf room to discuss her issues...we go into the conf room and she starts in cursing and shit... finally I had that "NIGGA HERE NOW moment" and blew this bitch out...
HR...
The bitch runs to HR in tears saying I threatened her SMH... They interviewed EVERYONE in our immediate area and found that I DID not threaten her and in fact I had a hostile work environment under her... 6 weeks pass...
PHONE - FROM HR...
"Rosebudd, do you have a moment? I've got some things I need to review with you regarding the 2009 growth plan in the conf room"...
I stroll in and the Head of HR and the CEO (both Black Women) are there to 'Let me go'...

When I first started out in an HR role, it was for a contract cleaning service company. Pretty much the lowest rung of society was employed by this company, so turnover was quite high. Not reporting for their shift, too many call in days, failure to report criminal history... It pretty much ran the gamut of aintshitness.
In keeping it professional, many could not quite understand my words. Often times being polite became a struggle, because a lot of them were just willfully ignorant and belligerent. So, I became straight up. They knew why they were in front of me so, it was like 'You gotta go. You know why, right?' Got cursed out, threatened, a few even raised up on me... Pushed that panic button, and watched from my window as they got they ass tossed the fuck out.

Yeah, got fired for 'misconduct'. Two people from HR came to my desk. One played the background and had a box in her hand. They other said, 'Stacy wants to meet with you in conference room whatever'. She walks me to the conference room and my manager Stacy was there with the head of HR, they talked about my 'misconduct' and I told them 'Yeah, I told y'all about that several times weeks ago. Y'all didn't fix XYZ like you said you were going to so I had to improvise'.
They walked a nigga out and when we got there, the chick was waiting with her cardboard box...only it had the shit from my desk in it. Lol. And then they tried to deny my unemployment. Ended up having to have a court trial for the shit. SMH.

Na, I'm a GOAT worker and I told him if he did I would knock him the fuck out so he kept me.
My last job was my first job and i was there for almost 4 years...
Now me im a smart motha fucka..i know how that company was..and they didnt like that..me and a old supervisor got face to face one time nh..he got fired for that..so in july my coworkers start messn off n i would tell them after a while there gona get tired...so we got a new supervisor(cracka idiot) didnt know wtf he was doing n this is the thing he didnt even work the same shift as us...so they started firing all the black people at my job #trustory and me i saw that so i didnt take any days off,on time worked real hard..and still got fired..theyfired my black friend first n he told me they called him at 2...so at the end of my shift this fat craka said "max can u come in at 2" i already knew what it was..i was pissed off bruh i stayed 40 mins n waited for my supervisor i walke up to his car like...so u want me to come in at 2? He was like yeah..i was like man i know what it is...i know i havnt done anything to lose my job..he was like "we just wana talk" i looked at this dude shook my head n walked away..they did it right before payday..so i went home mad.,.n was like u know what fuck this..so they called me at 1 like max u coming i was like yeah...i got all dressed up suit n tie shit to spite these mfs...walked in back saw my old supervisor(he cool) i told him goodbye nh i said i know im bouta get fired righ now and the coldest thing is i know i did nothing wrong...so i walk past the safety manager this cracka wouldnt even look me in my face...go into the boss lady office n supervisor...
They said "wow your all dressed up" why? And i just smiled at them...than they said
"Well were gona go ina. Different direction here ya last check" they didnt even give me a reason why...EDD didnt give me a reason but now im chilling on unemployment...working graveyard shift is no joke...i missed out on so much pussy bruh

Got fired from Home Depot in 2012... was late over 80 times, called out too much, had 3 no call no shows, and still worked there for 2 years. Assistant manager called me into the office, let me know I was bein' terminated and I straight up said, "Can I leave now?" and took my ass home to sleep.

over the summer i worked truck at kohl's so i would work from 5am to anywhere from 9am-noon. GOAT setup cuz you would just be in the back working & not having to interact with customers or really anyone else from the store other than the group of us that did truck.
they do evaluations all through your probationary period (90 days) & basically tell you if you don't meet requirements you won't make it past probation. so one day the head supervisor tells me i'm not working fast enough on the truck...i pay her no mind cuz i know i'm not working any slower than anybody else in there. plus she's out on the floor so how would she know who's putting in work in the back. so i blow her off.
i go to work this one morning & check the schedule like i normally do...see i'm not scheduled next week when everyone else is. i'm like wtf...then i see the date & my 90 days is that week. so i figured i was getting fired at some point soon & told some of my coworkers i was cool with i got a feeling...bout 3 hrs into my shift supervisor comes in & asks me to go to the office with her. i knew it was official then.
told me she gave me several warning (lies. she only halfway told me once in passing) & that i'm not up to standards. said she went ahead & paid me for the day tho...then she tries to be nice talkin bout 'i've been laid from several jobs so i know it's hard' i cut her off like 'can i go now?' she's like oh ok..get to the door & she's like 'GOOD LUCK!'

Whenever one of my guys cause accidental damage, I usually give them a warning and take the cost of repairs out of their check.
The potential loss of pay is enough motivation for them to work efficiently and carefully.

I got laid off from a summer job I had in a truss factory. Thank fucking god, that job was horrible.
I've only been fired once, when i was 17. I worked at nestle toll house, cool job real easy. Pretty high turnover rate for some reason though, after about 8 months of being there I had been there longer than anyone besides my manager (alcoholic ofay). So at that time i was kinda like the assistant manager minus the pay, when i look back on that i was kinda a sucker for that. When they finally hired an assistant manager (Indian bitch) I guess she felt threatened by me so we got into it a few times, i got sent home once or twice. On one of my off days i got the call "Oh Mars I’m going to have let you go, I dont want to but the owner is making me do it, put me down as a reference I'll give you a good one". When I asked him why he told be because there were reports of me eating BROKEN cookies (suppose to be thrown away). Broken fucking cookies. I was pissed as you could imagine, but I kept my composure. A week later I got a job right across the way at Discovery Chanel store so I wasn’t salty for long.
