Unfortunately for Zimmermen, from the details known, Treyvon was not one of the "bandits" who had previously burglarized the area. Now, Zimmermen probably drew a connection, or profiled, because Treyvon fit the description of the aforementioned suspects; clearly, Zimmermen didn't realize Treyvon lived with his father in the neighborhood, and was heading home from the store. Zimmermen's intentions may have been "pure", but he ruined his own life by acting on an assumption. That is the risk you take when exercising vigilantism

Concerning some of the reactions:

For every person who has had the cops called on them, followed, or wrongly accused of only being in an area "to take" , especially if it's in their own neighborhood--that is, profiled--the shit will be, understandably, personalized. Same with those who have had their shit taken by "youths".

One witness saying that Zimmerman is a "racist molester", based on their experiences with him would be on the same level as another witness saying Treyvon was a "violent thug", based on their experiences with him; unless either of them had proof, they'd both be witnesses making negative claims about Zimmerman's and Treyvon's character. Like I said, "negative" character witnesses.

And the court ruled that there couldn't be anonymous witnesses, so any anonymity did matter.

I still doubt the prosecution would've chosen to use her testimony even if anonymity were allowed.

No, this still sounds like shit you pulled out of your ass. Trayvon has been characterized as a thug right from the start. There's really no reason why what she said couldn't have been included, especially if they did more research into it.

They didn't have to use the cousin as a witness. Her testimony could have been included in the closing arguments.

Without proof, a "negative" character is a "negative" character witness; one who makes negative claims about someone's character based on their experiences with them.

I don't think new information can be included in a closing argument.

The defense could include their animation, because it was a summation of their claims; but they would not have been allowed to include the text messages.

Bad character witnesses do more harm for defendants, not the prosecution.

And the defendants did all they could do to try to bring up text messages and other irrelevant shit about Tray.

Yeh, they tried to, but they couldn't get it to be admissible; shit would've been objected to if they tried to slide it into a closing argument too.
