Game's name dropping: Does it take away from his music?

It does not bother me personally or take credibility away from him being a dope MC its just straws that haters need to grab, its like people saying Jay Z cant rap he uses all Biggies rhymes. #Dead

Now what takes away from his music and prohibits him from having an opportunity to go down as a great artist, is his inability to write hooks and hold a song/album down for dolo, basically always needing a feature for his choruses.

This is the main problem i have with Game. At first i didn't really notice it but now it's just stupid. It seems like his obsessed with some of these people. I lost count how many times he said 2 Pac and Biggie or Dre and sometimes you can tell what his gonna say before he says it. I must have got through his last album in about 10 minutes because every time he name dropped i skipped to the next track and i ain't listened to it again since.

Game have been using his favorite rappers name as a crutch since he came out. Where's the growth?

Its a shame, because when he can limit mentioning Pac or Dre, he can actually spit a decent verse.

For example.. My favorite verse from Game on GP is his 2nd verse on "See No Evil".

At least Jay has work and his own style to fall back on. He'll quote a BIG line, but the rest of the verse would be fire. 90% of Game's bars be on a thin line between regular and WTF shit.

I can feel you on that. Its like he feels he needs to do that as a part of his "gimmick".

Personally it doesnt bother me since hes been doing that since day one, it just ends up taking away from the lyrical ability he does have.
