So the white walkers and what not can only survive in extreme cold? Is that why they advance during the winter? Or can they exist in normal temperatures? Someone send a raven or a rider in the night so I can get the answer.

From what I've read about the books, they sleep underneath ice for thousands of years and when the longest, harshest winters come they awake, personally I believe the harsh, long winters come when they awaken, and they hunt at night, we know that they can reanimate dead humans and animals, but they also have armor that changes colors almost like a chameleon, and their swords are supposed to be able to turn people into ice and shatter them, their only weakness is extreme fire and obsidian, and valyrian steel I think...the seven kingdoms are going to need those Dragons, because they're going to lay waste to westeros...

II just watched ep 2, i can sense big things ahead for arya season 3 when he adult self shows up. How she gonna go to the wall as a female wanna see how they treat that. I hope snow man is alright but you can't ban him so i know he is alive. Rest of episode was meh...except for the funny incest horse scene, tought that nigga a lesson. Everyone tryna be kangs out chea..whats that 5 nigga now.

for the book readers, has it explained exactly what the 'white walkers' are. or whoever those human looking creatures are that were beyond the wall? I'm guessing they maybe inhabited the land long before humans ever came? What is their motivation for crossing the wall? I imagine there is more to it than just "oh winter is coming, lets go fuck shit up"
