I can list all the times Jay (allegedly) paid Dame taxes or antics affect potential dealings that could have netted them money we would never know about.
Plus music executives do that all the time, make the artist feel like family to discard them like yesterday trash. I would counter they do it in much a more slimy way, (rob artist of their royalties with fucked up contracts) yet when it comes from a entity or white figure head its business, if its from a black artist its cold and calculated. Not saying Jay is without faults, just using Dame, beans, Dehaven, ect aren't the best examples since they come across feeling Jay owe them something.

Y'all need to realize the entertainment game is business. I do feel its fucked up when people say they are family when its not the case. When you tell someone they are family and they come from a place not having it, they will take it as if it were true. In the streets lying like that can lead a person to a situation that's not safe. Jay-z was instrumental in the success of Rocafella. Yeah Dame and Biggs did their part tremendously, yet when you think of Rocafella you think of Jay-z. If it wasn't for his talent, those niggas wouldnt have been as successful in the music industry (or better yet known) if it wasn't for Jay carrying that mantle.
Beans, Cam, Kanye came in and did their thing based on what Jay-z built with Rocafella because of his talent, work ethic, and business savvy. So what if he took the position at Def Jam and dismantled Rocafella. It was HIS choosing to do so, plus his partners got paid off their earned shared %, not his fault they fucked it off with bad business moves. Most likely if they would have achieved the same success as Jay or even more, this conversation wouldn't be going on.
Its not like they did all the work and he took all the spoils while leaving them high and dry with nothing to show for it. The history of US business is based them riding the backs of someone else work and not paying them accordingly (or matter of fact nothing at all) and going forward with little to no scrutiny.
