Who's that guy

That's the Reaper and he was from Year 2 (Detective Comics 575-579 In the Post Crisis DC Universe, he was Gotham's Silver Age hero. He was in between the original Green Lantern, (Alan Scott,) and the Batman. Dude's wife was killed which caused him to go on Frank Castle/Punisher status. What is happening is The Batman has found Joe Chill and he partnered with him to find out who was killing Gotham's mafia bosses. The Batman was about to kill Chill when the Reaper does it for him. The Reaper did it because he didn't want The Batman to be murderer. Year Two also heavily influenced the animated film The Mask of the Phantasm.

Year Two is also where Leslie Tompkins from. She was the person who found Bruce in the alley after his parents where killed. She runs a clinic in Crime Alley and she's also a surgeon. It was Leslie that The Batman would go to get mended up if need. I was always kinda upset that they never used the character after the Year Two story arc because she made sense.

The thing is if the show producers has Lee in the show, it's obvious that they read Year Two, and I'm understanding why they're not the opportunity to have a dope as villain such as the Reaper in it.

To be fair they are kinda paying homage to that theatrical style.

I actually think that Gotham is paying homage to Adam West Batman. This show is campy as fuck at times. I personally wouldn't have went this route. I've always said that Batman was the easiest to translate to t.v. or film because of the nature of the book. Gotham is a hella corrupt city and we should be seeing why it's so fucked up and what lead to it being fucked up.

Slept on this shit, but finally caught up to all episodes. This series right here is on some serious shit. One of the best series on TV right now. Definitely can't wait til Monday's episode but the worse part is I will have to wait a few weeks for some more. :angry:

I hate this fall finale trend every show does now. I think its wack, if I'm correct TWD started that shit. Shit is entirely too long, just sprinkle some reruns in between here and there. But two-three months is absurd.
