Jerome is who The Joker ends up emulating after.

Jerome's father even mentioned how his influence will pretty much create someone like him. Which is why they showed the lil kid, and the two guys standing in front of the tv laughing. And the one guy turning on the other one after they stabbed the homeless guy. Joker could be any one of them, or someone else who was watching. But it's obvious of course where Joker got his persona from.

I literally told my s/o that Jerome was the best villain this show has ever had so far. Bruh killed it.
