Jim should have told maroni penguin has an addiction to mayhem.

Dude is making the classic mistake of under estimating him

He isn't. He knows as well Bruce will eventually know, you have to sacrifice Penguin's addiction to mayhem to have the perfect asset into the underworld, especially once the "masks" take over the underworld. There was no underestimating here.

With middle management fucking up and lying to Bruce...I got a feeling we gonna see the beginning of Luicius Fox before long and the Wayne Enterprise R&D with the early stuff that Bruce will eventually take those ideas and work on making his Batman inventory.

Seein' all the beginnings of all this shit is so dope. Soon as I saw the drug I knew the deal, but when the old cracka said 'venom' I was like "yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah?!" I just hope they keep this shit up but don't drag it on

Wtf is Fish planning with o girl? She getting weird, I guess she tryna play on Falcone's mother issues. But I don't see it ending well.

Yeah I like Jada but her scenes with that little girl make me feel awkward. But I guess she is planning a takeover with homeboy.

fish mooney, the mob and penguin are probably the only reasons I'm watching this show. When I started I thought the police segments would be the most entertaining but every episode they do the same comedy bit with Bullock and Gordon and all the serious stuff is fed to maroni or falcone.

Fish is definitely becoming a weird character. I thought she was all about the money and power but when she made those two girls fight each other for a job it told me she has a bit of crazy in he as well.

Told y'all Fish is the bridge to the masks. I feel like Gotham is fucking up though. It's going the Smallville route and relying too much on the mythos to fill in the gaps for wackness. What separates Gotham from ANY other cop drama besides Batman Easter Eggs? The show is supposed to be about Young James Gordon, but what makes him interesting?

He can't be corrupted because Gotham is corrupt, and James Gordon is not corrupt. I feel like this show is one of those ideas that sounded great in theory, but the idea of Young James Gordon is actually wack in execution when you stop going "OMG! Batman reference!" When I saw the episode title, I said, "Venom has to be mentioned." Then it was. Then I said, "Besides that, what was good about this episode?"

Bruce, Penguin, Fish, Maroni--the same things as always are strong and none of those are Gordon. Gordon is Ray Donovan status: the least interesting character in his own show. Why the fuck did Selina steal the wallet in front of Gordon at the beginning?

End of the day: Gordon is surrounded by people more interesting than him on every level. More interesting on the cop level? Bullock. More interesting on the human level? Bruce. More interesting on the criminal level? Penguin, Falcone, Maroni, Fish, etc.

It's like the longer Gotham goes on the more the Batman excitement wears off and the more its flaws are beginning to show. The show is surviving off strong performances of weak material pertaining to the protagonist. It's like the writers started writing and realized there was nothing interesting about Gordon. I'd rather Gotham focus on the world from Penguin or Bullock's perspective.

This extra bland Gordon shit is the loan fuck up.

i think that's why it's called gotham and not gordon....

at any time the show's direction can focus on one of those more interesting characters.....

gordon isn't supposed to save gotham...batman does that....

the whole point of the show is to illustrate how helpless gordan in in the corrupt town, and how much the city needed batman, because with gordon being on the right side of the law. there was only so much he could do
